Toy Story vs Shrek Showdown!

I'm 51 and I love the Toy Story movies. Cartoons that have some adult humour can really thrive at the theaters. The stories are witty and so real, whats not to like. Toy Story 3, I can hardly wait. Shrek 3 was garbage. I did like the first one though.

The first Shrek was grest but Shrek 2 and Shrek 3 just plan sucked one pop culture joke after another it's a shame really the Shrek trilogy coulda' been great but nooo they f**ked it up with all that pop culture crap so no more Shrek movies for me the only one I'd buy if it were on Blu is the first one the rest is just crap Toy Story 3 all the way.

i liked the third shrek a lot. however, when i saw it i hadn't seen the first two. i proceeded to watch the first two and realized what people were saying, that it was really just the same thing and not as good. but since i saw 3 first, i still like it. however, toy story, being pixar, is going to dominate shrek.

Well I just hope that toy story doesn't get ruined because if you ask me the first two are amazing and it's had to have that. And the shrek series is on a downfall, so I'm not worried. I don't think they would come back with toy story if they didn't have something good. I really wish a lot of these sequel things stop. There are a lot of remakes now b/c people will for some reason pay to see the same things. I'm hopin there are some more ideas in hollywood b/c this has been goin on for quite a few years now. Kind of getting sick of it.

toy story 3 for me,shrek 3 overdid the movie with way too many details on other characters.

Shrek the Third was pretty bad, but I enjoyed the first two. On the other hand, I dislike the Toy Story movies. I found the TS series very annoying, and boring.

i agreed with you on saw IV, but i never heard anyone that didnt like toy story. then again they all had kids. i never met a pixar film i didnt like. but i havent watched rat yet. just picked it up today at target.

From what i heard toy story 3 will be the best yet though i expected it in 2009. Yes shrek 4 is 2010 -you don't have to work very hard to be better than 3 though 1 and 2 were good. Deadly hallows will also be out then.
Transformers 2 is supposed to be 6-24-09 while a 2 movie hobbit is 2011 and 2012. The director of pan's labranth is supposed to direct while jackson produces.

Still nothing on star wars though. This holiday i expect an indy 4pk on blu.

Star trek got pushed til sometime in 2009.

Go see wall-e pixar's summer film because the final trailer is always their next
movie. I do plan to see it but they haven't let me down yet.

Toy Story 1 & 2 are some of the greatest animated movie of all-time (even compared to live-action)... it's a masterpiece and story-telling is far superior than Shrek's...

Shrek is just a pop-movie in classic setting
Toy Story is classic movie in modern setting

I love Shrek but the third installment left much to be desired. That's why I say hands down Toy Story 3 will be better.

Return of the Jedi was released in 1983 -- that didn't dampen enthusiasm for The Phantom Menace in 1999. The wait only enhanced the demand.
