Yeah, as I said the Wonder Woman thing was a rumor I had heard and I wondered if that was true or not.

So when you say a browncoat exec at Uni that got the rights when Joss got permission to shop around, do you mean after Firefly aired back in the day or recently?

I'm just curious as to who has the rights now.

Didn't ya know, it's because we obviously need yet another CSI, another nonsense gameshow, and more reality shows about rich blonde California teens who can't find their makeup in the morning. Regular broadcast TV is shite, has been for a long time. Thank God for DirecTV-HD!

Missed the show when it was on Fox. A co-worker told me about Serenity and I loved it. Got the Firefly series and loved it too. Now that HD DVD is for all intents and purposes dead and Uni will have no choice but to release on Blu-ray I can't wait to get Serenity and Firefly if they release it.

Just cracked the seal of my dvd set and popped in disc 1. I can't believe its been over five years since this series first aired. Great series and so was the movie. Paid only $20 on Amazon for the dvd set. This and Serenity need to be on Blu.

Is it 14 42-minute episodes and a 90-minute pilot? 13 42-minute episodes and a 90-minute pilot? No pilot?

No doubt, I just watched the movie Serenity and absolutely loved it, so I was looking to pick up the show. I saw that it dropped down to around 25 bucks quite a few months back, and I was wondering how long I would have to wait for that kind of discount. What do you know, Amazon comes through. Can someone assure me I'm not dreaming?

Had this on DVD for years, wanted it on BD since I got my player last year, but at around $50 it was just too much (and even more expensive via ebay if you wanted to get it from a UK seller), but when I saw the new low Amazon price (thanks to this site), I just had to order it.

Bit of an extra wait for me being in the UK, but this is one of the best shows ever, so well worth it, can't wait to get this!!!

I thought that Firefly was only going to be at $27.99 for a few hours, but it has been there for a few days now. I'm wondering if this is the new MSRP, that would seem kind of ridiculous, but might it go lower than $27.99???

I find their "custom cover" kind of funny since they put the Blu-ray banner on top of the DVD cover.

Yesterday complete Firefly. Great series, too bad it get cancel after a season, such a waste.

The Film: 4.5 Star (minus 0.5 Star due to it stupidity talk in 99% non understandable Chinese, that is not Chinese, that is no language.)
PQ: 3.5 Star (A few scenes seems over grain than usual.)
AQ: 3.5 Star

Listen to the Serenity episode commentary to understand why it doesn't sound like anything you've heard.

This is Science-FICTION about a future where China & U.S.A. ended up the dominant cultures so there was a mix of languages forming a new, fictional language the "Chinese" you are referring to . It is not Chinese. It's a fictional mix. Just like there really isn't any Klingon language in STTNG <GRIN>

While this might be the be all, end all of prices, Costco has the series for $18.99. We have it on DVD, but I'm considering picking it up on BD when my wife goes to Costco next. Loved the show.
