I'd like too see some of Piers Anthony's Xanth series come to the big screen, such as "A Spell for Chamelon" , "The SOurce of Magic", Ogre, Ogre, NightMare, A Crewl Lye" they would all rock and with all thses children fantasy adaptations, you would think there would be a chance.

I just finished The Road by Cormac McCarthy, and I thought it would be an amazing movie...so, I looked it up and low and behold!!! The movie is coming out this year!!!!
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0898367/

This writer also did No Country For Old Men, he is amazing!!!!

I highly suggest the book to anyone.

The name of the book is THE ALCHEMIST by Pablo Coelho. I honestly don't know if I've ever been so deeply moved by a book. Anyway, would make for a great movie IMO but it would depend on who directed it and the music score would be paramount to the tellers story. Other books I'd love to see as movie include: RED by Jack Ketchum, the DARK TOWER SERIES by STEVEN KING; Anything by Richard Laymon...these are just a few

Yeah, I would love to see the Dark Tower series out on movie.

It would be narrative heavy but Catcher in the rye might be worth a try if they can get the mood set right. It could be a masterpiece if the right director-actor combo could pull it off.

Those, if adapted correctly, may be more for adults. I remember reading those over 10 years ago, funny stuff, I wouldn't mind seeing them either.

God, I would love to see that. It was most definitely one of my favorite books when I was growing up.

You should really enjoy it. As I said before, I've read Ender's Game several times, and have always enjoyed it. It's a fast read too. Enjoy!

The God Whale by T.J.Bass. It's an interesting look of the future. With today's CGI capabilities it would be easy to do.

I love the books. Even have my 2year old granddaughter looking at them. They just haven't done very well with the other one's. ( Although I haven't seen Horten yet)

Enders game is good but i loved the following three of the series MUCH more.

http://www.sfreviews.net/endersgame.html

Speaker for the Dead
Xenocide
Children if the Mind

on topic... Not sure about those three in movie form though.

@ Scripture Ive read the wheel of time books 3 or 4 times through. I would love to see it made into a band of brothers style showing. Either that or more recently Ive begun to think that some serious hardcore animation would do the trick.

Check this guy out. Hes got a bunch of the characters drawn out and theyve just blown me away, hes really amazing.

Yeah, the writer's strike delayed this film a little bit. I thought the book was much better than the Da Vinci Code book. That movie didn't do the book justice. The previews frickin' gave away the ending... It's a shame. i hope Ron Howard, who's work I usually really enjoy, does a better job with this one. I hope Akiva Goldsman does a better job adapting this screenplay than the last one... Should be better though, but I'll try not to get my hopes up.

No WAY could he pull it off! Milo Ventimiglia was born to play that role! ...as long as it's done SOON, he's getting older!

EDIT: I really hope you were kidding.
