Would love to see a live action version of Doctor Strange. Could look really amazing with state of the art SFX, even better in 3D. Johnny Depp would be my first choice to play the lead.

Bale is not doing this movie and has confirmed it almost in an annoyed fashion...Routh is a possibility...

I'm glad they're putting JLA on hold instead of pulling the plug. This is probably going to be the toughest movie to make.....I don't know if they can pull it off. But if Marvel can make a decent Avengers movie I don't see why not.

I assume most of these films will be awful.

Captain America has the most potential of the four. Avengers could also be ok, but I am not going to hold my breath.

I am not going to get overly excited for more Marvel films just because Iron Man was really good. I still remember the horrors that are Ghost Rider, Hulk, Daredevil, Elektra, X-3, both Fantastic Four films, and Spiderman 3.

Since Iron Man hit at the box office they are probably going to put out a bunch of rubbish as fast as they can now. Hopefully that is not the case and they get good actors and directors to take care of these projects though.

Agree. They could make him an interesting character. Only issue is that Doc wasn't exactly one of Marvel's best sellers.

will spiderman-4 be way different than 1-3 since marvel studios is doing it? will it even use the same actors or will it start a whole new storyline?

Oh-HO! I hadn't heard Marvel got the rights for it...I assumed they sold it off outright and would never get it back since Spider-Man has made so much money. That's really good news. Now, maybe they can get a better Parker and Watson...and some actual Spider-Man dialog.

I just hope Fin Fang Foom isnt part of Iron Man 2, I know he's a quinessential Iron Man lore, but to see him fighting a cg dragon would just be too unbelievable for the second movie. I can see using Mandarin, but getting too mystical with Iron Man might throw some people off, I hope they do something with the alcohol problem as a side plot, it would be inspirational and a good addition to character development.

the problem is they want to do a different Batman that what was portrayed in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight...so you'll see a different Batman and possibly a different Superman...

but when Marvel does the Avengers movie...you'll see Ed Norton, Robert Downey Jr etc. etc. all in the movie...

the only one I doubt we'll see if Tobey Maguire as he thinks he commands top dollar as an actor because Spider-Man did so well ....but it would have done well regardless..

it would definitely be a 180 from the direction they took in the movie just released...

if they do bring in Mandarin, they'll try to use the most realistic and reasonable angle....but it would be tough...

I would compare it to bringing in Mr. Freeze to a Nolan adaption of Batman....it just wouldn't work..

Originally I had read that for the JLA movie, Batman had been "kicked out" somehow, and Superman had been killed by Doomsday. It's preferable to have two of three most popular characters of a given universe involved, but it may be best to go this way, especially if Bale refuses to be involved.

Avengers will be the biggest thing in comics movies ever...IF they can lock everyone into contracts!

I'm not going to say Maguire is the worst thing about the Spider-Man movies, since there are writers involved, but they can do much better for Parker AND Watson.

Spider-Man 4 is still at Sony. In the tabled JLA movie Arnie Hammer was to be Batman and DJ Cotrona as Superman.

I imagine this is him lobbying for the directing chores for The Avengers. I think he's the man for the job to tell you the truth.

Good find!

Yea, I think he's been doing a pee-pee dance for a few months now, from what I can tell, but he would be a prime choice to direct it.

I think it's the summer of 2010, since Thor is supposed to "debut" in Iron Man 2, then have his own movie just a little while later. They're going for a "series" kind of feel, which I've never heard of happening in any multi-property line of movies.

LOL!! DC has been working on Wonder Woman like forever, and they still can't make up there minds. The same goes with Green Lantern & The Flash, last I heard was they were working on a script on Shazam, but it was a while back already. Its a shame that Warner Bros. does'nt invest in their character or properties.........
