These dates are much more realistic considering the scope of what they are doing:

Marvel Studios Feature Film Pipeline
Film/Character - Prior Release Date - Current Release Date
IRON MAN 2 - May 7, 2010 - May 7, 2010
THOR - July 16, 2010 - June 17, 2011
THE FIRST AVENGER: CAPTAIN AMERICA - May 6, 2011 - July 22, 2011
THE AVENGERS - July 15, 2011 - May 4, 2012

Spider-man 4 - May 6, 2011

Avengers moved out a year. Let's make it right Marvel. No corner cutting.

i didn't think it was that bad of a schedule originally. i guess i can see where they are coming from w/spider man 4 being added in there and pushing the rest of the movies back a bit.

but why would thor have to be moved i wonder??? it sounded like the script was solid w/a director in place and casting rumors finally popping up.

i guess i'm just bummed we only get 1 marvel movie next year.

**** this, **** Marvel. A year extra on Thor, fine. But seriously, another year on Avengers? ****ing pisses me off

I guess the movie studios wanted us to witness one more great movie before the World ends that December

anything said about batman 3 pointed to a summer 2011 release....that's if the 3rd one follows the same pattern as the dark knight....3 years inbetween releases.

This week it was speculated by the wonderfully reliable folk of the internet that with Inception coming out next summer it could have a trickle effect of either bumping a Batman sequel to winter 2011 or summer 2012. I can't recall the exact timeline but that was the gist of it.

Will DC be doing anything next year? Only Iron Man 2 would be disappointing...

I have mild interest in Iron Man 2, maybe Captain America if it takes place in like World War I, if they try to make some modern piece of crap I won't waste my time with it.

Although I am saddened that I will have to wait longer for each movie, in the long run I think it is best for the films. There has been so little news about each one, and the extra time will hopefully allow them to do a better job, instead of rush them along.

Kind of thought Thor would be delayed as they should have been shooting now for a 2010 release, and they havent even casted yet

Yeah, no kidding! Maybe that'll be an executive decision based on Wolverine's success, which will likely occur...
