If I didn't at least halfway enjoy my job, I wouldn't be able to go into work day after day seeing the same thing over and over. I have a very very highly repetitive job, so there is absolutely little change to it on a daily basis.

The good side is the hours (12am-10am), the warehouse is nice and empty, my bosses don't get in til 7-8am so I never have to deal with them!

It depends on the particular day. Most days I do enjoy my job.

The hours (9ish to 5ish) are great and the salary isn't bad either.

Interesting topic.

In fact, I just accepted an offer for just slightly more money than my current job for ALOT longer work hours. We will see if I made the right decision.

Ok, currently I have an office job. Great hours with a 5-day work schedule; and I am very comfortable here. The only problems are, I believe there is no more room for promotion, and the salary is probably as high as it gets.

Long story short, I accepted an offer by a huge firm for a mere 8% more money, but a 12-hour shift thingy. So basically I will be working two days in a row and have the next two off. And I will be doing two weeks or so day shift then switch to the overnight for two weeks or something.

The hours sucks! There is no doubt about it. But I see it being a huge international firm and I am betting on the fact that maybe I get chances for promotions and all down the road. We will see if I made the right decision... will start this new job in 2 weeks.

Good luck with that. After Katrina I made the decision to abandon my previous company, and get with the company I am with now. Best decision hands down that I've made, I've had 3 promotions in the last 3 years, and I plan to keep it going like that.

Hard work, a little knowing of the right people, and being able to show that you know what you are doing and you will get your breaks!

That is exactly how I got this job. A not-so-close friend of mine knows this guy who works in that company, and she hooked us up a few months ago. So I must say I am very lucky there.
