Ease up.
This is becoming a pattern with WB.

Even two brand new films, "Fool's Gold" and "Bucket List" were released without lossless.

Funnily enough, they partially or fully subtitled the special features for Fool's Gold, but not Bucket's List. It seems like they are randomly selecting titles. I don't like it.

Seems it's not just the audio, it's the same with subtitles. :-/

If titles are planned months in advance, that means this title was probably planned by New Line, meaning it would have had DTS HD MA. I thought changing any specs would be hard to do on such short notice. Apparently that's not the case with this title?

This totally sucks. I would've bought all of those titles listed above if New Line was still in charge of it. I've been disappointed with almost every Warner release I own so far, but New Line was a different story.

Something must be done about Warner's sloppy work!!!!

That's very disappointing news. New Line has done such a good job. Is WB cutting back because of gas prices?

I've never seen this film but this is very interesting and disappointing if this is indicative of how Warners is going to treat the New Line catalog!!

Another sad day for Blu-ray fans courtesy of Warner. I weep for future New Line titles that were going to be DTS-HD MA. I can imagine it now, Seven on Blu-ray with...Dolby Digital sound. I would start getting very nervous Lord Of The Rings fans.

Something needs to be done with Warner Brother, they are getting out of control with their lackluster Blu-Ray releases. When will they learn that this isn't HD-DVD! New Line did such an excellent job with their releases and now Warner is taking over and are making their releases look like crap. I knew when Warner took over that it was going to be bad news for us New Line BD fans. I think Batman Begins will be the last Warner BD I will buy for a good while.

The Matrix Trilogy will be the only and last Warner movies I purchase from now and till they get their shit together. That includes any movies with lossless as well. No Warner Movies! And if their suckitude reaches band of Brothers, So help my God!

I doubt it - based on how they are going to be cutting their prices.

Man, and to think if New Line were putting this out it would have 7.1 DTSHD-MA sound!

Warner thank you for ending the war, but come on start using the full capabilities of Blu-ray!

I may have to pass on this one even though it is a great movie, with a great soundtrack that would have sounded awesome from New Line!

It's too bad. I won't buy a disc that doesn't contain lossless. Warner is good at releasing titles, they just aren't giving them the care they deserve.

Booooooo!! Former New Line movie getting released by WB with NO Lossless sound. Not a good precedent for other New Lines that will probably be released by WB like Blade, Austin Powers, Seven, Nightmare on Elm Street, Final Destination, and etc.
Cases start out as a photoshopped digital representation. Sometimes the person doing it doesn't have all the facts, or messes up.

Sometimes, these mistakes make it all the way to production without being caught.

It is best to wait for verification from one of our experts before assuming Warner/NL have gone crazy (again).

I wonder if a massive online petition for Warner would changes things?

I ask because several years back Warner ended up listening to an online petition to release the remastered original Willy Wonka in OAR/widescreen when they originally were just going to release it in pan and scan.

Maybe, but if there was a petition, it should be to call for both lossless audio on main features and English subtitles on special features so the deaf and hard of hearing can get their money worth.

The worst part of this for Warner is that they are continuing to put forward the idea, whether it's true or not, that they are both the cheapest studio and the one who cares the least about their HD customers. If this is an actual business plan, with the future intent to double-dip lossless versions, then I can only hope they end this policy soon so they prevent more damage to their goodwill.

At the very least they should come out an announce that they are comitted to lossless audio on all releases as of a certain date. I think it's time for their home video division to show some leadership rather than being continually embarrassed compared to the other studios, especially when one looks at their lackluster comittment to the format as a whole. Many people can have long memories about such things, regardless of the occasional spectacular release like Blade Runner.

Its probably the best thing you can do. I see all of these people *****ing and *****ing but that really isn't going to change anything. But maybe everyone can band together and show WB their anger and what they want if WB still wants there business that way they actually take notice. If WB sees a potential big money loss you never know they could listen.

I remember that debacle quite well. It's only one small thing in Warner's list of crimes. Remember the Superman DVD with missing audio tracks? The censored Batman Beyond:Return Of The Joker? The list goes on and on... Oh, I just remembered another one ,True Romance had the rear channels mixed up on the original DVD. Amateurs!!

I remember reading about New Line being folded into Warner, and it saying that New Line would continue to be it's own production and distribution entity, just executive decisions would be in coordination with Warner. I can't remember where I read this, but it led me to hope we would still continue to see New Line titles with 7.1 DTS-HD MA, and not 5.1 Dolby Digital with handicapped video like how Warner operates.

I think that Warner has too much power now, though I was beginning to believe it for some time before, but as far as high definition goes, they should go with BD-optimized video and lossless audio on every title, but you don't need to hear me repeat what everyone else is saying here.

New Line titles: 7.1 DTS-HD MA and BD-optimized video all the way!!!

Warner titles: BD-optimized video and lossless on all!
