This has been known for a looong time now. I can't wait for some live action Star Wars again though, tired of the animated.

I hope so... that will really kill off the a franchise which is weak in plot and heavy in SFX.

I'd watch that, provided it's written with some good dialogue.
George Lucas involved with a movie that has good dialogue? Keep dreaming.

guys this has been in the works for a year now. the show is going to air sometime in 2010 and will take place after episode III and before IV. the game is actually suppose to be sort of a tie in slash lead in to the show. it was originally slated for 2009 release however with the writers strike lucas got screwed like everyone else. here is the link to the ign homepage for the site and for the site that announces both the live action show and the clone wars show.

http://tv.ign.com/articles/821/821825p1.html

annoucement of both shows.

homepage to the show.

If I could talk to George Lucas about making another Star Wars movie, I would tell him to make it about: In the far distant future, a much stronger force arrives in attempt to invade the forces of the darkside and jedi side. In order for the darkside and jediside to keep their existence, they are forced to join each other and battle this unknown and powerful force.

I would call this movie: Star Wars: The Last Hope

I'm ok with new Star Wars stuff. I can separate the classics from the new stuff and roll with the punches. I like learning more about this world inside George's head. Who cares if it isn't part of the initial trilogy. When George looses his copyright THEN you can complain about the over abundance of Star Wars stuff...

(note: you'll be dead then, so you'll have to ask your grandkids to complain)

Thank You... at least someone else knows that as well. Lucas has mentioned this since 2005, 100 episodes yada yada yada. Can some new stuff please be mentioned: How about another Dark Knight thread? or HD-DVD is going to be resurrected with Sony backing it?

The TV show is supposed to be after Revenge of the Sith. Focusing on Vader and Boba Fett.

George talked about the live action TV show back during Celebration 3. He also said it wouldn't include any major characters.
He is also working on a movie called "Red Tails" about the Tuskegee Airmen.
If George wants to keep making Star wars stories I'm all for it.
Can't wait to see Clone Wars next week.

Both series sound great as long as there are no overly annoying characters. If Jarjar or another equally annoying character is going to be tagging along in many episodes in the animated series I may skip the whole dang thing.
