Well I've seen two different versions, and the second one I found a bit uncomfortable because there was a lot of sexual suggestions that she wanted to have sex with him and he was struggling not to. AVC-MPEG4 Encode with English and German 7.1 DTS-HD HR. No English Subs.

From the looks of the screenshots, the PQ seems solid. However, the whites are blown out, making some detail in the background not as visible as previous DVD releases.

Watched Leon this morning, very impressed overall. Definitely worth the import for UKers.

I like a lot of movies but very few would I consider near masterpieces...

As long as we get eventually it's cool. It should be exclusive for a while.

Im watching it now

definitely region locked

no english subs. Only german subs, but they are not forced.

For those with CIH setups, the subtitles are 50% in the black borders

This is an excellent upgrade from the recent DVD special edition*. The hot whites aren't that bothersome .Plenty of fine detail, fine film grain left in.

Directors cut 133 minutes

the other cut ("kinofassung") 110 minutes

*2005 region 1 , 2 disc "deluxe edition" released by sony/columbia

Unfortunately locked per blurayregioncodes.com (Region B area). That stinks-I wanted the steelbook

Maybe it's time to hunt down an LG BH200 which can be made region free for Blus and SD's. Bah!
