All the studios ask is that when you buy a Blu-ray title of a disk you currently own, mail in a promo certificate along with the proof of purchase from the original disc’s packaging.

So much for getting 10$ off for most people...who the hell keeps the receipts of all the movies they buy...

Main reason why I don't send in any rebates. If they excepted a photo copy with receipt then I'm all for it. lol

When I was single I never messed with rebates. My wife is all about them and they do work. You forget about it and the BAM, you get a check for 10 bucks in the mail. That is kind of cool. We usually cash it and go eat somewhere!

I would imagine you will need the UPC from the DVD version, though......

None of these promos require the receipt from the previous copy of the movie. They only require the proof of purchase tab located on the back cover.

I use to be like that.

I still don’t care for cutting my cases but I realize I don’t really send a lot of time looking at them. So now I send in every rebate I can, I would like to thank Disney for giving me back $80 so far.

I have the transforming sd dvd edition too. The proof of purchase is on the slip cover that Prime was stuffed in so it would sit nice in the store racking.

Stuff the plastic sleeve with newspaper or cardboard and use an Exacto knife.
