Transformers Blu-ray rebate issue?

I have the Transformers Special Edition (2 DISC DVD) and plan on getting Transformers on Blu Ray (esp with the $10 incentive).

I could be mistaken but doesn't the rebate require you send in the proof of purchase cutouts from the DVD and Blu Ray cases? I have looked everywhere on my DVD case and do not see a proof of purchase tab.

So how would I send in for the rebate?

Will they treat this like a normal rebate? You send in upc and in 10-12 weeks get a 10.00 check? If so I wont bother..10.00 wont break me

0hhhh look at MR MONEY BAGS

If a rebate is offered, why not spend 42 cents and mail it in? I just sent a rebate for a $5 check on some Mobil one oil i use.

The reason people offer rebates it to promote sales, knowing that most people forget or are too lazy to mail in and increase the overall GM% of the products

HA HA im not mr money bags by any means. I just hate the fact I have to wait forever to get it....even though I usually forget..lol

Ya this was an added incentive in me getting Transformers on Blu....not to mention Sweeney Todd as well when it releases. I'm just also hopping this deal will work in Canada too.

I send all rebates in. then you forget about it and get checks in the mail when you're not expecting them. Very cool.

If you are looking for the POP tabs in your 2-disc set, I know older DVDs had them in the inside as pull out tabs instead of little cut outs that are now most common. Also, though I am not sure what your box looks like, if there is a sleeve insert, maybe they are are on the inside. Finally, maybe with the paperwork for the DVD, they will have a name or contact info...call them and ask. I do remember Target, possibly other stores, offering a transforming DVD pack, I'd wonder if this had a POP as well.

Interesting, I just checked my Transformers DVD and saw that there's no proof of purchase cut out section.

for those of us who purchased this from Tower or other online retailers, where the purchase date on the tower receipt is prior to 9/2 and tower does not emanate from the state in which you live - are you going to BB or Target to purchase another copy and the return in and keep the receipt?

or are you just sending in the tower.com receipt?

ha i prefer getting them 10 - 12 weeks, its such a welcome surprise after you completely forgot about it. can you scan them or anything? because i really dont feel like cutting away at my cover art on either edition.

I looked on mine last night because i got bluray copy from tower yesterday and the 2 disc special edition regular dvd doesn't have a proof of purchase tab on it anywhere i looked all over, how are we supposed to mail in the rebate without it?

The POP on the 2-disc set is located on the paper insert that was not affixed to the case. It's the paper that looks like the backside of a dvd case with the synopsis, specs, and movie credit stuff. It has a picture of "Sam" holding the cube. Hopefully you all saved it like I did!! But I also hate to cut the POP's out. Makes it look yucky!! I'll suck up the $10 and pass the DVD version to the kids room.

mine was on top of the UPC, I cut it out and then sold the DVD

Just not sure if my rebate will be taken since the receipt from tower says 8/24, not 9/2 like the rebate states
