make sure you have bass set to LFE out only. And your crossover to 80hz or above, as far as the mic is concerned you can do all of that your self. Measure the speaker distance, turn off the eq if you cannot adjust it your self and set your centre channel a little below the fronts if it still sounds to bassy.

I 2nd that YAMAHA 663 needs bigger and better speakers. I love my YAMAHA speakers I have performance series NS-777 towers and my 663 loves them. will be getting the NS-C444 and 4 NS-333 for christmas

polk is a very good speaker but they are a little small for me.

I have the receiver set to surround decoder and have turned the drc off on the ps3 and receiver. I never got the little mic with my receiver because it was a floor model. There are settings on the receiver for each individual speakers like that have decibals for highs and lows and stuff but I'm afraid to touch it because I don't know what I'm doing.

also i should mention I have all my speakers set to small , and at 8 ohms.

Beautiful center. What's your crossover setting at? I would look at resetting the highs and lows and look at purchasing a replacement mic or something if you're unsure what to set things at. There's no reason for it to sound unbalanced like that. Try checking your manual and see what Energy recommends the crossover at. If you can't find it, 80hz is probably a good place to start judging by the size of that center.
