Movies with good bass are listed on the SVS site:

Not quite. For every 100' you lose approx 5.25dB on higher freq and 2.5dB for lower freq. And thats just RG-6, RG-11 has less than half the signal loss.

But yes, you can go much much further using RG-6 rather than RCA for the subwoofer cable.

....not to nit-pick or anything. ;-)

Cloverfield is definitely nice on the low end

30 Days of Night is not bad either! (just watched it again last night, first time using my SVS sub and it's really great!)

It is a bit of nitpicking. I was using cable companies and satellite companies as an example to give him assurance that quad-shielded RG6 is a reliable cable. The actual loss for 100ft of cable are as follows:

Loss ........ RG-6 .... RG-11
1MHz ....... 0.2dB ... 0.2dB
10MHz ..... 0.6dB ... 0.4dB
50MHz ..... 1.4dB ... 1.0dB
100MHz ... 2.0dB ... 1.6dB
200MHz ... 2.8dB ... 2.3dB
400MHz ... 4.8dB ... 4.3dB
700MHz ... 5.6dB ... 4.7dB
900MHz ... 7.7dB ... 6.0dB
1GHz ...... 6.1dB ... 5.6dB

For subwoofers, we are dealing with sound below 100Hz.

Yes. Transformers was awesome as usual. Iron Man, not as loud as Transformers, but good all in all. U-571, Holy Crap! My 5 year old ran down the stairs and advised me to turn it down (I think he got scared Woops ) I also tried Pearl Harbor and it was good too. It seems as though each movie is a totally new experience with this sub. I definitely need to expand my Blu collection...

I was noticing the lengths of cable sold (RG6) are in 25ft intervals. The next length after 25ft is 50ft. The ideal length for me would be 35 ft. Anyone know if that length is possible, or should i just get the 50ft.

I'm sure that you could buy cable by the lenght at your local hardware store and then you terminate the cable yourself which is quite easy to do!

35ft for $7.77
http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2

I use their 25ft one with my Servo 15v2 and I am very pleased I didn't spend $200 on a fancy schmancy cable.
