I'm probably going to vote Heath but this is hard. RDJ gave one of the best comedic performances I've ever seen and I think hands down the best in years.

That being said... Joker.

btw, no offense to Heath since he was brilliant in TDK, but RDJ has the upper hand

But if your only counting Downey's performance in Tropic, then Heath wins hands down
Of course RDJ was great in Iron Man. he was basically playing himself. Alcoholic-Millionaire/Drug addict-Actor; 6 of one half dozen of the other.

Robert Downey Junior was great in all the movies he played, and very likable, but Heath was overall a more interesting and captivating actor to watch as the Joker.

I voted Robert because it's harder to play a dude, who's playing a dude, who's disguised as another dude.

I hope he at least gets nominated. I know Heath will win the Academy Award.

Both actors really immersed themselves in the roles. This one is tough. The Patriot is going to break this one up for me, as I was watching it last night, I couldn't believe that was the same guy who did The Joker.

I'm voting for Heath, but I owe RDJ one (hopefully you don't put him up against anybody tough for IM)

Have to go with Ledger, between those two, but RDJ was amazing in Tropic Thunder. That would be great if he is nominated for an Academy Award.

Put RDJ against Bale.

Eckhart did an awesome job, he just go overshadowed by Ledger's villian. I actually think you can possibly make a case that Eckhart did a better job than Ledger. God the fanboys would flip if Eckhart got nominated for SA and Ledger didn't.

Watched Tropic Thunder finally...... Jack Black is my kryptonite.... I could barely watch the movie......

none of the acting in the movie was that impressive, but some of the one liners were good..... 3/5 I'd say.... more a guilty pleasure than anything else..... but RDJ certainly didn't "Shine" if you ask me.

Im definately going with Heath as the Joker. I thought TT was just stupid. RDJ did decent, but nothing spectacular, same goes for Iron Man, nothing amazing. Heath as the Joker was the best part of TDK.

Both did a great acting job. But both movies were completely different, even for comic book movies. Like apples and oranges.
Heath Ledger is awesome and RDJ had his comeback with Ironman.
