Best Actor of 08 Round one! - Blu-ray Forum

I'm sure that by now you guys have seen these two performances, and if not you must have heard of them. Who was better? Round 2 to come soon.

Obviously RDJ. He was in arguably the best movie of 2008, and arguably the best comedy of the year, within 3 months of each other

btw, no offense to Heath since he was brilliant in TDK, but RDJ has the upper hand

But if your only counting Downey's performance in Tropic, then Heath wins hands down

We're only counting Tropic Thunder this round, Iron Man will be in a following round. Although RDJ was multiple characters while still being the same one in Tropic Thunder.

RDJ was good as Stark and in Tropic but Ledger's performance as the Joker was mindblowing and menacing. If I couldn't believe that it was Heath. He was totally imersed in the role (which sadly could have been a factor in his death

). Ledger should win the supporting actor Oscar this year or else there is something wrong with the Academy.

Heath wont win, or be nominated, nor should. To the academy, and avid movie reviewers, movies like Milk, and Curious case of Benjamin Button are more suitable for the awards

Definatly Heath Ledger, didnt even have to think about that one.. and RDJ was "Kirk Lazarus" really, in Tropic.. Although mostly he was in the character of Lincoln ha , so yeah , nevermind

Downey played an awesome role in Tropic thunder I just got done watching it and its halarious BUTTTT vs Heath Ledger as the Joker there is no competition the Joker role was amazing.

Robert Downey Jr. He made a huge comeback in Iron Man, so I think that takes the cake over Heath Ledger. Also RDJ was utterly priceless in Tropic Thunder, he nailed the role perfectly.

I still take RDJs role in Tropic Thunder over Heath Ledger in TDK.

I saw only Iron Man, and thought RD JR. did a decent job.... nothing to gush over......
