I have not a 100% knowledge with this

, but the dvd's watched so far gives a good dynamic 7.1 effect like this way with Prologic IIx on.

The side surround plays along and the speakers on the ceiling does it's job as the back surround way.

Hellboy 2 sounds great in 7.1 as far as I tested it but soon I will watch the whole movie to make a better decision if its ok or not.
