yup, prepare to be anally violated if you choose to import from Japan. The HDroom just confirmed that Fox is going to put this out before the summer is over here in the States. You're much better off just waiting for it to come out here. I have this movie memorized damn near line for line, but I can hold out for an American release if it means I can save a few bucks.

The official Dutch release date for Big Trouble in Little China is May 6, but I bought it today at Media Markt. The disc includes all the extras from the dvd release except the cast & crew biographies, production notes and magazine articles. We do get some extras that were on the R1 dvd release, but not on the R2 dvd release: 5 tv spots, teaser trailer and one more deleted scene (Beneath Chinatown).

One of my favorite movies for sure...I hope that you're right about a north american release by the end of the summer...

I've also pre-ordered the Japanese version that is out in late May.

More expensive yes, but it will play in my region A player...so it's all good.

With all the effects in this movie, it could shape up to be a solid transfer. I would blind buy this (also a double dip) just because it is one of my favorite movies of all time.

I only watched a bit, but I thought the video quality looked great on my HD Ready screen.
