hahahaha that was awesome, I would love to see him live.

I was flipping through his book, and there is this picture of him in front of this mirror surrounded by all these beautiful half naked women, and he is staring at himself...I love his arrogance

Not so fast . . . I saw Prince on Halloween night 10+ years ago, and it was the best concert I have ever been to . . .
Also I saw him on the Euro version of the Grammys accepting an award once . . . he was clearly out of his mind.

Prince for overall music badassness but early Mj is pretty close.

Prince clearly wins the "whose house would you rather sleep over at" question.

Leave it to Teabaggins to say something like that

I'm not a huge fan of either, but I'd probably give the edge to Jackson. Though it's pretty close.

I think Jackson in his prime was clearly better, but if you're looking at their careers as a whole, I think Prince wins.

It's Prince by a mile for me. I think for me his music has actually improved over time. With 25 years past since the height of his MTV dominance you can look past all the hype and see how great those songs really were.

Belloche's 5 favorite Prince songs-
#1 Little Red Corvette
#2 I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man
#3 Sign Of The Times
#4 Alphabet Street
#5 I Would Die 4 U

Sadly I haven't heard too much of the new stuff. I'll make it a point to check it out. Anything else I should be looking for?

I don't like your polling system Crim. If you're not a fan of either artist then why vote?

I'm personally a fan of both artists. Everyone has their opinion but if we're basing this off of achievements alone than Prince doesn't hold a torch to MJ.

700 million plus albums sold worldwide. Think about that for a second 700 million plus albums. That's incredible. I also disagree that you think he only has two classic albums. Bad, Dangerous and even the 40 times platinum History album are all classics IMO.

See I dont think numbers really mean anything, by that then we could say that Spider Man Three is a classic movie.

Madonna trumps both...and is the only one with a career still.

She's probably the least talented of the 3. Oh wait I stand corrected, she know's how speak with a fake British accent.

Agree.
Being a musician, Prince is the man. (Arrange, Compose, Plays, Writes and Performs on multiple instruments) MJ is an R&B - PoP genuis too but can not compare to Prince craftmanship.

Thriller was pretty badass back in the day. I was 10 years old in 1983 and so many people had those awful jackets with all the zippers everywhere, even some of the wrestlers wore them (Coco B. Ware I think was one).

Prince is definitely the more talented musician, but you cannot deny the genius that was Thriller. 9 tracks, seven of which were singles! The best selling album of all time.

Jackson only wrote four of the songs though, co-written by Quincy.

Prince is a far more prolific songwriter.

My vote was for Prince.
