Just the vibe I get having worked in retail and frequenting stores like Best Buy, Fry's. Very similar pattern that happened with CRT RP sets. LCD's have too many advantages when it come to costs, margins and marketability. Just look at Vizio and Pioneer's decision.

Personally I don't care what tech survives as long as they keep improving. Affordable large OLED's maybe one day (though it isn't going to be soon enough for me) or something newer perhaps. Better and better LCD's, etc.. Just as long as great displays continually come (and they will) I'll be happy.
