Skar I am powering my system, see HT Gallery pics, with a Yamaha 659 pushing around the same as your 606 and it has plenty of power. Your 606 has plenty of power. When I listened to the 7's they were using a Denon similar to the your 606 and my 659 and provided plenty of power.
My local shop has the 7's for $650ish plus the high NY state tax. They quoted my a better price as I am a long time customer.
The 190 is a great cc so just enjoy and don't forget the photos lol.

Not sure the bill is $887.68 for two monitor 7's and one cc190 plus 53.27 sales tax. (6%) $940.95 out the door.
I had two dealers competing.

I may up grade the cc-190 to the cc290 I checked it will fit my rack . Hate to spend the extra cash sounds like bigger is better.

Thanks for the info. Do I pony up the extra money for the CC-290 or stick with the cc-190. Dealer has both in stock. My monitor 7 's will be in next week. I will have to wait a few paydays on the rears but have my old infinity's one to use.

I would say just by being on this forum now you will catch the upgrade bug.. If you go with the CC-190 and are gonna wish you went with the CC-290 and end up selling it for less and paying more for the CC-290 later..

If you can spend the extra cash, then go bigger or it'll always be stuck in the back of your head what you could've had.

I know I'm a bad influence - but you can't do nothing about upgrade-itis if you were already asking yourself in the first place..

Buy the ADP-390 surrounds. Awesome sound and clarity. A little spendy but well worth it. I love mine and plan on buying 2 more.

Spend the extra and buy the 290. It is well worth the extra and will be a better match for the 7's.

yes the 5's are sonically identical to the 6, the only thing that changed was cosmetic between the v5 and the v6

I just picked up cc-290 v6 for $250 used only 5 hours and mint with box and receipt, and monitor 7's v6 for $450 same hours from same owner, what a steal. Pretty much brand new he moved up to the studio's, i know him through a client on an install.

Twitch9 you suck...lol...great buy. I would have snatched them up in a heartbeat were it me. Good for you.

skar I am 53 and work in a paper mill lab. My hearing in the higher frequencies has also suffered a bit...not much thank goodness and the tech says it is from age and too many rock concerts in my youth...woohoo...

If you can, make the jump to the 11's, much better than the 9's. Always steer clients to them. Well worth it.

I disagree the 11's are overkill and the difference between the 7's and 9's in very minimal in sound. The 7's will have a tighter smoother bass over both 9's and 11's and if your using a sub this is all you should need for HT. The only reason to go with the 11's is if your using allot of 2 channel audio with no sub. Most Paradigm dealers don't even stock the 11's because they know it's more speaker than most will ever need and also if you go with the 11's you must pair them with the cc390 or your center will never be able to keep up with them. Now you have just added almost $800 onto your budget.
