No from what I can tell most people didn't like 8 Mile, that may be why they delayed the blu-ray release so long.

I don't think that was the reason. Seems there wasn't a lot of positive response towards Street Fighter, but that came out before a movie starring a multi-platinum recording artist. So I'm sure there were other reasons behind that decision.

I don't get the whole "everyone hates 8 mile" I've seen lots of positives chatter about it and the negatives always just seem to be people who hate hip hop music.

theres plenty of movies that were bad but are being released on blu. If anything the Eminem album release is the only reason in which why this could of been delayed. I have friends in the music industry who claim Eminems newest single is expected sometime in April. I would think Universal is somewhat trying to release it on par with the hype for his album.

Most movie studios are putting flicks out to go hand in hand with a new movie, but with this film they have nothing to go with besides Eminems music work.

Looks like it will actually come out tomorrow. Relapse comes out May 19.

Don't worry about it. I just used walmart.com site to store, and got it for $20.

Already own the SD DVD and I'm in no hurry to check out the BD to tell the truth. Maybe sometime in the future.

You can check Target too. It may be $19.99 there. They are hit and miss though. Some new catalogs are priced at $19.99, but some still at $24.99, regardless of studio.

At my local Wal-Mart they just put John Q. out so I don't think they'll be having it there just yet.

I've seen John Q, Final Destination at my wal-mart too.

I've seen Taking Lives, and Final Destination on sale 2 weeks prior to release date over at BJ's wholesale club.

Watching it right now, grain is definitely an issue but the transfer was still well done with DTS HD MA track.

I got it at Best Buy, Hastings and Target and Wal-Mart didn't have it.
