Default Pan's Labyrinth ?

I know this is an odd ? I'm thinking about getting Pan's Labyrinth on Blu (Target has it for 19.99,and I have a 10 GC,that would make it 10.99 after Uncle Sam's share) I've never seen the movie and do not speak Spanish(there is no English dub option, and the DVD does'nt have it either),are the subtities good with this title,I know this is an odd question but I've bought movies in the past w/ terrible English translations, usually Kung Fu filcks,I'm serious! I've heard it's a killler movie though,I also noticed one name in the cast is not Spanish,Doug Jones! I loved Hellboy I and II,should I pick it up? Another odd ?,are the subtitles in yellow or white, not that it matters! Are the extras the same as the 2 DVD SE? I DO LOVE A GOOD MOVIE!!!

highly highly highly recommend this! the extras are the exact same, and the PQ and AQ are absolutely incredible. the subtitles are always detracting for me for the first few minutes (pretty sure they are white here), then i completely forget about them. go pick this up!

The subs are proper English- no errors that I can remember. (That drives me nuts too- I'm an English major. )

Even if you did know spanish, you still wouldn't understand half of it. It's in cotillion spanish. I highly recommend it.

+1

The dialogue is paced very slowly and is super easy keep up with. I am a slow subtitle reader, but this was a cakewalk. Plus, it's an awesome awesome movie. I said awesome twice for a reason.

Still haven't seen this movie. TMNHD had it for a while but it's been since before Christmas that it was on, rather see it on HD first and see what it's like. I heard quite a lot of good things but I am always very afraid of buying things without seeing them first.

I bought it a long time ago on HD DVD (hey it was dirt cheap fire sale and blu wasn't available)..

I really enjoyed the movie, that said it isn't a movie I want to watch often as it is very disturbing/bruatl.. yet very beautiful.. Can't really describe it better without spoiling it.

I want to see this movie. But with no English dubbing I will wait.
If i wanted to read i would buy a book.
I find subtitles to be distracting as you're reading the words and not paying complete attention to the images.
I find it very distracting.

I find them distracting for maybe the first 10 minutes or so. Then I forget I'm even reading them. Just like anything else, you get used to them. There are many fantastic movies out there only available with subtitles. And besides, even if subtitles are distracting, there's nothing more distracting than an awful dub.

Agreed. My wife and I love "Nightwatch" and "Daywatch", but I just can't stand to watch the English dub - even if they do use the proper Russian accents.

Missing out on this absolutely amazing film because you have to "read it" is the height of foolishness. And I used to feel that way, as well... thank God I got over it.

+1 it take me a good 10min to get used to it...there are so many good movies out there that you have to "read it",
or you could just learn the language that the movie is<=hard way

The words tell the story, not the picture. You are missing a lot of GREAT movies.
