Go Phils.......!!!! We only lost Burrell in the off season, and he was becoming a bum anyway, not to mention Ibanez is more than adequate, if not better, right now in left field. Evrybody else is still there (minus Jenkins, released yesterday), so why not a repeat?

The Mets did load up, but that is nothing new....they do not have any team chemisty. Not to mention that September will once again come to New York, and we all have seen how that has gone the last 2 years. Chemistry was one of the biggest reasons the Phils won last year.

It ain't going to help if the Mets' starters cannot get to the the 7th inning or so. You'll see. They have automatic outs at bottom of order also unless they revamp lineup.

Funny thing is Sheffield is still getting paid $14 million for this season, making him the 2nd highest paid Tiger. Dontrelle Willis is 6th, and he's on the disabled list with anxiety issues.

As a Mariners fan, I can't wait for the season to start now that Griffey's back. Having Ichiro and Griffey in the outfield is a major plus. I was bummed when they lost Ibanez though. The pitching oughta be much improved too. That whole 61-101 season will be forgotten once the M's are winning games.

Can't wait till Monday...Go M's!!!

I'm glad hes there aswell not that Im an M's fan but I grew up watching him and randy wreck everyone so to see him back giffs alway's been a class act.

The Mets have one of the best starting rotations in the NL. The bullpen was terrible last year. The re-vamped version has got to be better. They also have the best core group of 3 position players in baseball (Wright, Beltran, and Reyes) so hopefully that makes up for the guys at the bottom of the order. It's April and hope springs eternal, but I think they will be a better team this year.

Agreed. I think they have a good chance to do it too. Granted, the NL East is a good division, but there's always the posibility of WIld Card, or even winning. The new additions should help this year a lot. Can't wait. FOUR DAYS!!!
