There's more than I mentioned, but those are the ones off the top of my head.

You should know that Sony Picture is only producing BD and no HD-DVD. So, to be fair, we should boycott Sony Picture as well....

As much I as I want Univ to support BR, I rent 90% of my movies and buy the other 10%. I have a HDTV and want to see as many movies as possible in the HD format.

Therefore, if the Toshibas continue to drop, and Univ is still goofing off in the Fall, Ill be buying a HDDVD player to compliment my BR player.

The only time that I watch high definition movie(s) that Universal released is when I watch them on the HD channels on Directv! Needless to say that I won't be buying HD-DVD movies any time soon! I buy alot of blu-ray movies as a collection!

... and fox and disney and mgm....

look ur at a blu-ray site. i see u have two posts so lets not start trolling here. obviously what we want is for BR to win and all that is required is for universal to come at least neutral. then, we have no war and will support universal.

I owned myself a BDP-S1. But when i read a tread like that. I understand that people doesnt understand that a war is going on. And every parties have the right to make alliances with anyone they feel that can make it profitable.

I want BD from Universal, but i am smart enought to understand why there are none so far. It will come , So be patient.

oh, im plenty patient

it's simply much easier for one studio to switch than a whole conglomerate to go the other way

Hell yeah! I'm already in the boycott for well over a year now!
One of the reasons I have not purchased a Universal (and DreamWorks for that matter) DVD is because they stopped supporting DTS Digital Sound.
Though I have TONS of Uni/DW DVDs in DTS, I won't even watch any of those until Universal AND DreamWorks gets it's act and it's ass together both Blu-Ray-wise and DTS-wise.
Notice that DreamWorks has been absolutely quiet during this format war.......no HD-DUDs nor Blus from DreamWorks all this time. EVERYBODY knows that Universal and DreamWorks are one and the same (in other words, DreamWorks is Universal's puppet). Yet this is a reluctant puppet that wants to support a particular format but wants to wait until after the air clears and the dust settles.
In any case, I would include a complete boycott of DreamWorks as well. Anyone with me on DreamWorks, too?????

Jodi

I agree it's easiest for Universal to submit, but it's a free world and they can do whatever they like. The worst part is there are studios like New Line that are sitting on the fence waiting for the smoke to clear. HD DVD supporters fail to realize that allowing Universal to blow smoke up their butt isn't helping the HD format progress, but they will snap out of it when the Universal well runs dry.

Money talks and bull@#$% walks.

The best we can all do is continue to vote with our wallets and maybe make some waves along the way.

Same here, well almost. I bought 2 Indie flicks on SD... but, given the titles Universal has coming out, this will be an easy pledge.

I've been (unintentionally) a part of this boycott since I got my PS3 in December also. I still do pick up the occasional DVD on stuff that I think it's doubtful will ever see high definition. The last thing I got like this was a collection of classic sc-fi that included Tarantula, Incredible Shrinking Man, Mole People and a few others. I don't think these will ever see the blu-light of day. Those very well might be from Universal, I'll have to check.

I do have to admit that, while I don't mind boycotting Universal, I will have to pick up the next season of BSG on dvd when it comes out. I wish it were to be on BD, but who knows when that will be
