Wasn't a huge fan of these movies. The first installment was alright, but they went downhill after that, and Worlds End was just awful. But, it's a moneymaker and if they can get Depp back then every other cast member is expendable. No Depp, No movie.
But i'm glad a director has decided to move on,and not just make a movie for a paycheck.

I can't see someone honestly thinking Godfather sucks. Overrated perhaps but sucks? Maybe it's really, really, really, really not your kind of movie.

I'd like a four if it had NO romance at all, period.

and i have no interest in them
they're just not for everyone

jerry bruckheimer gets most of the attention, you hardly heard anything about Gore that much (atleast from what i've seen)

Disney should give Brad Bird the chance to direct the next 3 pirates films and Stuart Beattie to pen them.

Easily the best part about the news. They need to leave Pirates as a trilogy that just lost it's effect over time. The third one was bad enough, do we really need a 4th?

I have mixed feelings about this in a way I wanted there to be a 4th but I was thinking its going to suck but now that he isn't coming back I know its going to suck Johnny Deep should drop this and move on. But as for Gore I am glad he is attached to Bioshock that was one of my favorite games.

I'm glad he made this decision. I think he did a great job with the first but the second two were clearly inferior. I don't blame him much at all, that was a lot of movie in not much time, and that type of film can be difficult to begin with. I can understand him wanting to separate himself from the project.

yep i hated World's End, and Deadman's chest was ok, but the first, Curse of the Black Pearl was the best!!!

I agree with you on that. The movie was good, but not the greatest movie of all time. My belief is nothing is the greatest. Something can always be made that is better.

I think it may be what the series needs. A new direction. I'd rather see it end as a trilogy but you know Disney will rake in a good chunk of change for the 4th installment.

Whoever said The Godfather is crap needs to get lost lol.
