Default good response!

I decided to post this right b4 I crashed this morning and was suprised that it got a pretty good response... In my area I'm the one with the greatest selection LOL One of four Walmart's here carries maybe 20 BDs, but they are getting the new releases now(though I was disappointed at no Blood Diamond or Hellboy) It sounds like support is slowly gaining in retail outlets, but places like Best Buy should be ashamed, literally 50 different HDTVs to choose from and they've only got 12 BDs and 10 HDDVDs(for that matter) I guess I should set my Netflix back up or try Blockbuster online.... Has anyone done a comparison of these two? Thanks again!

I would actually stick with netflix-although blockbuster does have the in store exchange advantage-I've never had a problem with netflix but blockbuster can sometimes be a day or two behind getting your next movie out-and my last straw was when a week and a half went by and they never sent out a movie and they never gave me a reason why this happened.

I went to www.thedvdrent.com which has blockbuster, netflix and a few others on there to compare.

I live in Spiro, Oklahoma but go to Ft. Smith Arkansa to go buy or do anything since there is nothing but a small town here and I live right on the border of Arkansa just about 10 minutes away. I know of three places here to buy or rent, they are a Movietown that you are able to rent a good selection of blu-ray and sorry to say about the equal amount of hd-dvd , The two big wal-marts here that didn't have a good selection at first only like 7 but now looking like they stocked up and have about 20 to choose from, and of course best buy which has a big selection of blu-ray and again sad to say but equal selection of hd-dvd . Oh and I forgot, blockbuster here finally jumped on the wagon and have just a couple like 5 or 6 to rent but better than none, and I didn't recall any hd-dvd movies bein' there .We have two blockbusters but I only go to one, I will check it out and see if they do. Stay Blu homies.

It's killen me cause theres a few titles I dont want to buy (Bridges, Hellboy, Ghostrider) and need to see the BD goodness!!!

I really didnt want to do Netflix but I don't know how much longer I can hold out...

yeah, that BB has been there for over 10 years at least....probably close to 15...

and there is nothing wrong with going Netflix...we need netflix to keep getting business so BB isn't a monopoly again and starts raising prices on us..

BB is ideal if you have a local BB that has BD's so if you do the online deal, you are all set...

None in my area unless there is some independent place that is doing it. I have only ever rented on Blu-ray from Netflix, I prefer to buy them. I haven't purchased all that many yet. I Only have about 20.

Blockbuster in Canada is still doing testing (75 stores in Canada for both BR and HDDVD). The one near where I live is one of them (yay!) Selection isn't that great though (1 wall for each and up to 3 copies of a movie if you're lucky). Plus the BRs are getting rented a lot (good for BR but annoying when you have a movie in mind).

Here's the list of locations: http://www.blockbuster.ca/hd-blu-ray-stores.html
