Yeah, I would hardly say that Wonder Woman was a "complete copy" of the first Captain America. The only similarity is that they are period films set during one of the World Wars. Both are excellent, though. CA is still my favorite (and IMO, the best) MCU movie.

No. But since they seem to show her having super-speed, with the bullets, they are moving at super-slow speed. So anyone would be able to knock them away. Like if someone lofted a whiffle ball at you, super-slow.

Saw it tonight with family. I wanted to make sure we could get in so we passed on the XD theater showing and the 3D showing. Saw it in an "ordinary" theater (which was at 75% capacity). We abosolutely loved it! I give it a 4.5/5. In this case I rounded up for the poll. It really deserves the accolades it's receiving.

Gave it a 4 on the poll. The villains and the final fight keep it from being a 5.

Totally agree with you, Danny Huston was unnecessary should have focused more on doc poison who was much more interesting and made this is a true feminist movie. Final fight felt too much like D.C. falling back into their bad habits... although him making his helmet was pretty b.a.

Just came back from a a packed showing. Had to wait in line for an hour but got our preferred seats.
Gal was great as WW. I thought her delivery was a bit off at times but she gave a great physicality to the role and she had a commanding presence on screen. Her and Pine had great chemistry. It's a shame that [Show spoiler] Robin Wright was so bad ass. Wish we could have seen more of her character. The comedy beats were great. The side characters played off Diana's coming into society quite well. The action had an overabundance of slow motion. It got to the point where it was irritable. The No Man's land/war sequences were the highlights IMO. All the action after was completely unmemorable. It was too DBZish and jarring seeing WW with rag doll physics. The initial Themyscira scenes had some shoddy green screen/CGI. Once again the villains were lacking though I guess it's to be expected for an origin story. [SPOILER]Aside from Diana's exposition about Ares, he didn't have any development whatsoever and his reveal at the end had no impact. Dr. Poison and her boss were useless[./SPOILER] After two misfires, the DCEU is back on track. Hope they continue with stronger movies like Wonder Woman. 7/10 rounded to 4/5 for the poll |
