I've just been working a lot more recently. Counting the next couple of days, I will have worked 15 of the last 16 days.

I've also been spending a lot more time listening to music. I've been really getting into BD-Audio a lot here lately. I recently bought Primus: Sailing the Seas of Cheese, and I borrowed the Pink Floyd: Darkside of the Moon Immersion BD-A from a friend of mine. I also recently bought these two BD concerts:

I hope you're doing well buddy.

Hello Al
[Show spoiler]-Coholic!

That's pretty much what I looked like last night. I haven't been able to cut loose as much here lately, but I got nice and toasty last night.

I hope you've been kickin' ass and takin' names.

Thanks man. One more day to go.

They both have great A/V. The Zep does cut to this low-rez 4x3 "bootleg" look every so often. At first it was slightly "artistic" for a minute, but they keep cutting to that bad video quality on and off for the whole concert. Jason is absolutely channeling his dad, in a good way.

Video: For 1080i/60p it was very detailed with almost no comb filtering. Quite bright overall with decent black levels. Some flatness and lack of depth from the bright blue and red lighting, like many concerts.

Audio: Very balanced with some really punchy, deep bass and some actual discrete performance sounds in the surrounds, although it's mostly just guitar or snare drum effects panning around the room.

It wasn't quite as solid overall as I expected, with John Mcglaughlin being involved, but it was very enjoyable, and got much better as it went.

I must've taken some of the brown blotter last time, because when I watched it tonight, it was one of the best concerts I've ever experienced on BD. John Mclaughlin is amazing. In case you didn't realise, he's one of Jeff Beck's biggest influences.
