My opinions about Avatar can't be wrong because they're my opinions. If you love it, great, but I don't. Besides, what do you care what I think about it anyways? Not to mention that we're only talking about a stupid movie anyways, so who cares??? I can't believe people actually argue with each other over stuff like this.
Please... don't even try to pretend you came here just to give your opinion. This is a thread about the release of Avatar on bluray, not a thread where people are supposed to review(bash) the movie. Just admit it, you(and a few others) came here only to piss on everybody's parade knowing that people would be outraged when you will start bashing their favorite movie. You knew what you are getting into so stop acting all offended. Comments like yours have no place in "The Avatar Blu-ray release thread" since your criticism is not directed toward the product(the blu-ray disc)that is the subject of this thread. Enough with this BS already.

I bought this on friday, wasn't able to watch it yet though cause ive been crazy busy lately. It's not easy for me to find 160 minutes where I can just sit down and watch a movie all the way through lol. Guess ill have to wait until this weekend

Anyways, when I was @ best buy, they had the movie running on some LED HDTV, it looked amazing on it.... cant wait to finally watch this!

You apparently aren't alone in that regard....... Netflix has the wait time listed as "hahaha....hahaha....hahaha"

I haven't even seen it yet....... I did move it to the top of the queue, since the hype has caught my attention.

Netflix users have to wait at least a month after the release date to get the title.

I think that whatever peolple think of the movie, the real winner is Blu Ray.

Hopefully there will be a spike in sales now.

I was at Best Buy yesterday and they were showing Avatar on a new 55" Samsung tv. The tv was silver...not black and made EVERYTHING that you watch on it in 3D!!! It actually looked pretty good!! Has anyone else seen this tv in person?

Yes my BB had it up to but it took them 15 minutes for them to understand it was in 3D mode and the Avatar they were playing was not in 3D!! Once the adjustment was made (very cool remote BTW) It looked incredible!!

On Projectors Only Avatar Does not look as good as it should. It Gets Soft. No I do not think its the best Bluray Demo Disc Because it has To Much CG and Its not in 3D were it looked its best.

Yep, Fox actually started their 1-month rental delay with Avatar. It's availble from Netflix (& Redbox I believe) on 5/20.

It is Defiantly NOT SOFT on my projector! I don't know how you could make a "blanket" statement like that!? That's like saying, "Avatar only looks good on Sony tv's." LoL

I think this is the type of movie that could drive player sales.

No doubt, that is one of the reasons they were offering bundles that came with a new player and the movie itself.

I watched this on my 73" Mits and it looked .. So larger screen isnt the problem. I would say with a projector you get many variables not mentioned...bulb life is a BIG one
