ill agree

ive seen alot of films in 2009 that were great! that kind of got set aside.
when the Cash-Cow that Avatar is..
sort of took place,

i think it was more about the money then about the actual film itself.

but James Cameron is an amazing director, T2, Alien's.. T1. Titanic.

Once the Oscar's wrap up and Titanic's worldwide box office record (likely) falls at the hands of Avatar, attention will turn towards the Blu-ray Disc, Blu-ray 3D and DVD release that will also look to set records later this year. Thanks to MTV, we know that a new cut of the film is in the works.

"The 'director's cut' is what we release," Cameron told MTV at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards. "What we do is we do a special edition, where you could select a longer version of the film that has some scenes reinstated. But it's really more of a fan version than a director's version."

That version will include approximately 10 seconds of the Jake and Neytiri "sex" scene Cameron previously hinted at and confirms was cut for being "one of those cases where the fantasy vastly exceeds the reality." The director estimates approximately 10-12 minutes will be edited back into the "fan" version.

Any Avatar Blu-ray and DVD announcement will have to wait until the film slows down at the box office. While its December competition like Sherlock Holmes locks in March release dates, Avatar may not even be announced by then.

I like how you make fun of yourself

Actually, you don't. You can't judge a film worthy or unworthy of praise or awards without having a basis of judgement. Which would require actually having seen the film for yourself.

I was furiated when I saw this one. It beat out freakin' Inglourious Basterds! I thought Avatar had a terrible plot and only one because it was in 3D. Lame.

It's Cameron's worst film.
Sure there was. Becuase the people who matter feel it was worthy of nomination and the win.

And it's hardly his worst film. It was way better than most of his films.

I would put it roughly equal to Terminator 2 and Aliens. And above the rest.

Yeah, but still, it beat The Hurt Locker, a film that actually had a good plot.

Personally, I think Avatar is completely overrated. I think its made a name for itself due to the fact that it had a huge budget. Regardless of that, I havent seen the film so I dont have an opinion. Why am I even posting this?

I enjoyed watching Avatar more than I enjoyed watching just about every "good" movie I've seen this year, whatever that means.
