How much do you reckon you guys have spent on Prints?, and if you missed the initial run of posters would you pay extra to get it if you really liked it?

As i am noticing some old Mondo's that i would love to have and they seem to be going for £150+

I've gotten to the point if i miss any print on an initial drop i won't pay aftermarket prices for it and try to just forget about it. It can be hard as sometimes i still have that nagging tendency to get attached to an image but i'm slowly getting over that and my wallet is starting to thank me. I also see the other ones i have that haven't been framed and it also makes it easier missing most drops.

The other two were resonably priced over cost.
I would love to get my hands on that Leon Print. It was a very small run wasn't it?

I seem to get sucked in to the movies / TV Shows that i am in the middle of watching or have just finished. I look around for some cool prints and find some old ones which seem to be double the price on ebay etc and i instantly want to buy them

I managed to get my hands on Anthony Petrie Breaking Bad Gus Print for £75.

It arrived today and i have to say it looks absolutely amazing.

I seem to always picture prints in my room and am constantly buying new prints.

That's mine, frame was like 24 bucks on eBay from an awesome seller that will do any size you need in about 1000 different styles.

http://stores.ebay.com/customframingfactoryoutlet

It's got plexiglass front and cardboard backing but it's like a 40 dollar print, I'm not too concerned with putting my kids through college by selling the thing. I just want it to look unique.

And Hobby Lobby does an awesome job for a quarter of the price of Michaels, and they'll do all the framing and matting for free if you buy a frame from them, I bought this frame below with glass off the shelf during their bi-monthly half-off sales, and with matte and backing it cost me 55 bucks total to have it framed. So roughly 25 for the frame and 30 for the matte backing, tax, etc.

So check out Hobby Lobby, they have way more styles off-the-shelf than Michaels (which seems to only have plastic black frames with plexiglass, good for cheap posters but not good enough for art)

Wow! Thanks for the info!! How was hobby lobby on the whole dry-mounting thing? Did you specifically have to tell them not to do it? Did they offer it? My fear with getting something custom framed is that they will destroy my print!

The woman I talked with who did that Robocop print mentioned dry-mounting but as soon as she said it she said "Oh wait never mind, I didn't see this was signed by the artist, so that option is out", so it's definitely something they DO and you should mention that you DON'T want it. The way she said it seemed as if it's something that's just expected that most customers want so make sure to be clear.

That said they make you fill out a form with the estimated value of the print so I just put like 500 bucks in case they screwed it up. No idea if they would have paid that if they botched the job but I figured my time and effort was worth that amount

The image seems to be popping up all over now, so perhaps it is official, or could simply be a promotional image and sites calling it a poster. If it is a poster, it should be hitting theaters in the next few weeks. There are some big trailers expected to be attached with The Hobbit and in some cases, an advance poster tends to follow a trailer.

The Star Trek one I believe is the first domestic advance teaser for the next Star Trek film.

It was a good thing that you were dealing with a framer who knew to stop and realize your print was a collectible and not just a simple poster, as you pointed out, dry mounting is something a framer tends to do, a good framer will ask the customer questions first and not assume before starting the job. At least everything worked out for you, they look quite good all framed up.

Hey Kinsella, did you ever update your inventory list? I wouldn't mind seeing a list of what posters you have for sale.

Big news on the poster front - for my event, that is.

We will have a fully licensed print this spring when we host Part II.

Can't wait to share it with everyone (it will be 24x36" this time).

Hey guys, first time posting in this thread, relatively new to the poster hobby. Just wanted to share that Gallery1988's Tribute to Judd Apatow artwork is now online. Personally picked this one up by Joshua Budich.

^^^Really like the Mike Mitchell Anchorman set on the site even though i'm personally not a big Will Ferrell fan. I picked up the fat bird cardinal and magic carpet a few weeks back on his site and i'm really starting to dig his stuff.

Speaking of Gallery1988 this came in the mail today from the black friday print sale they had. I picked the lora zombie breaking bad teddy bear up which is more of an art print but thought some people may like it.

Awesome print for sure!

Mondo has a couple Looney Tunes prints going up tomorrow. I am still on the fence, though due to the fact they are not Whalen might make them an easy pass

True they aren't Whalen but they are for two very popular episodes, those two were classics! I too am on the fence about them, mainly since I don't have any of the others.
