I paid $25 including shipping, but I just did a search and found the next best deal for this one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/SHREK-3D-DIS...item4ab3a54d05 It is twice the amount, but if you think about it, it still a good deal... all four movies for $12.50 each including free shipping. |

I heard it takes from 4 to 6 weeks to get the 4th movie. Don't know if I wanted to wait that long. However, if you check ebay every day, maybe you'll get lucky like I did to pounce on one that has all 4 disc at a good price. I also picked up Megamind for $25 including free ship as well... Just a lucky day for me.

I read a lot of various posts about good & bad 3D movies here on the forums but I don't read very much (barely any at all) about any of the Shrek movies. I just bought a Samsung Shrek 1-4 starter pack of eBay ($33; at that price I HAD to) and wondering what if I should be excited or prepare for disappointment. I have seen Shrek 4 On Demand and thought it was pretty good but wonder how the conversion of the first three movies went. Your thoughts? Any input is appreciated.

My package arrived yesterday (yes, all 4 were included) and watched 1 & 2 last night. Very nice conversions IMO. Not many out-of-the-screen moments but it added a nice dept. I'll watch 3 and 4 (again) this weekend. Happy with my purchase.

There is no difference as far as the blu ray encoding is concerned. 3D bluray stores the left and right "stereo" image. This is sent to your tv as two discrete video channels over hdmi. Whether your tv does passive or active 3d is up to your tv. |

I know I'm really bringing this thread back from the dead, but can anyone tell me if the Shrek 3D blu-rays are also capable of playing in 2D? I have young kids that would likely prefer watching them in 2D, but I couldn't pass up grabbing them for $10 each at Fry's earlier today. Thanks ahead of time for your input!
