Slept in by about 5 minutes I was planning to go after a Variant. Ah well.

I'm hoping to land a Mike Mitchell Disneyland tomorrow

I managed to get a standard version of Taylor's Jurrassic Park as well. First time I've ever actually got something off Mondo, instead of getting frozen out.

If anyone is up for a trade...I'm really looking for an Olly Moss Lord of the rings!

That will be a tough trade but if you can make it happen, then you will have done very well for yourself. I passed all around on the JP prints, not surprised a bunch of people were able to get today's KT print, the print run was pretty high and they seem to be doing that on some of their more popular artists to satisfy demand, it was only a matter of time.

Doesn't seem to be as flippable as I was expecting. They don't appear to be moving off eBay

Looks alright to me, the BIN's with foolish prices aren't going anywhere but of 90 that are showing up for me only 25 of them are actually auctions 10 of those 25 have bids. It has been for sale for less than 2 hours I bet it does settle under $200 though, maybe in the $125 - $150 range? This is the 5th kick at the can on this license.

The 5th kick, and still no characters/actors (other than silhouettes) in the posters. I imagine that puts a hurt on a chance of Stout JP ever seeing daylight, which I was kind of hoping for.

I need to get my hands on a Jurassic Park print. I just don't know which one I would see myself framing. I like the top 3: Horkey, Richard and Taylor in no particular order. That's the problem. I don't want to end up with all of them
I'll wait and see what 2013 brings, chances are we may see another JP print.

Im starting to get more prints that i can have on my wall.
I remember you saying that you had a portfolio,

Do you simply just slip them in and they stay flat and in good condition?

Have you got a link?

There was an interview a while back and it mentioned that every Mondo artist had submitted a piece for Jurassic Park, so I would imagine there would be a good chance of more JP coming out this year.

I bought mine used, but I believe it is this one:

You don't just 'slip' the 24x36 prints in though, it is a real struggle and you do a bit of shimmy while you do it. I don't think they make one bigger than 24x36.

Can anyone who owns an original Star Trek Into Darkness advance let me know if it is faded on the back of the double sided? After all the times I've read about these companies selling reprints, I ordered from amazon anyway. (used a gift card). When I opened the tube the smell of ink nearly knocked me out. Thanks.

For the record, I have nothing but good things to say about Roar, I am just wondering what people say about mine behind me back.

It sounds like a fair amount of people were able to get the KT print from today and it probably has to do with a healthy supply of them as the print runs have been increasing on KT's Mondo prints. I also have a feeling it more than likely will get easier as time goes by for people to get their prints. Not a guarantee but the odds will increase more so in their favor, because it's obvious that a lot of people jumped on the Mondo bandwagon purely to resell the prints within minutes or even seconds of a print selling out. These are people who don't have any clue what it is they are selling but see it as a way to make some quick cash. But with the always increasing eBay and Paypal fees, I think you will find a good portion of these people who merely were jumping it for the profit slowly leaving the Mondo prints behind, because it isn't make them enough money, and with that, means a greater chance of people that actually want to collect them.

Not putting down those who flip, I am guilty of doing it myself, but it's pretty clear that a good amount of people jumped into the Mondo prints within the past year or two at best after seeing what they can fetch online. I think with the newer prints, depending on the artist and subject matter, some probably dont see it worth their time anymore, because of the fees and hassles with shipping, and perhaps may stop trying for them. That in turn certainly helps out others who want to collect, and I think a good example could be these JP prints by Ken Taylor, who is an incredibly talented artist, and it appears that print run was just big enough for a good portion of fans to be able to get one. Certainly not all were able to, but it's been a while where I have seen multiple people here chime in saying there able to get one, and that's a good thing.

Default Home Theater Art

Hey everyone, I sketch scratchboard art in my spare time to decorate my home theater, and I was wandering if there would be any interest out there to sell them on a site like (etsy or ebay). Below is one I did of Batman (Dark Knight Costume).

How it works is a clay board is covered in black paint and the picture is hand "scratched" using an exacto knife. I can do any movie or image you would like. I would probably sell them for around $100.

Thanks for the responses.

Was able to snag a regular LOTR, psyched to get one of these bad boys for less than the 1st edition is selling for.

Congrats on the score!

Looks like Mondo is having a flat-file sale tomorrow as well. Any Austin locals on the board?

I remember the Avengers prints being the big 'gems' of the last flat-file. I assume Stout Reservoir Dogs and the Moss Lord of the Rings prints will be the leaders this time around. Will we see anything older?
