Yeah, hope the Blu-ray for II and III, but I like II more, and forgot that it even has a humor in it.

I agree 2 really needs an updated version. There are not many extras out there, and the current commentary from the director is hilarious because he hated the movie so much it would be nice to have some of the core cast or producers give some insight into the making instead of some failed director ragging on it for the entire movie. There is one other audo track from the villian kid, but he only had a couple of scenes. Plenty of stuff they could track down and add to a special edition, many people want it.

Has it been confirmed yet whether the original theatrical audio and soundtrack will be intact on this release?

Whoever wants it.
Limited edition home video releases going for high prices on the secondary market is hardly anything new.

It's since been re-listed with the much more reasonable price of $41,500, but the seller writes:

Quote:
THE FILM IS DISTRIBUTED IN THE UNITED STATES BY LIONSGATE, BUT HAVE SEVERAL MAJOR FOREIGN TERRITORIES UNSOLD. ASKING PRICE PER FILM - $42,500.

The shipping cost [it's currently $127.62 for Standard Shipping, by the way] might be higher, as it is difficult to calculate actual amount of shipping now, due to large amount of boxes.

PLEASE STOP MAKING STUPID OFFERS OF $1, $10, $100, etc. ALL OFFERS BELOW $40,000 WILL BE FLATLY REJECTED! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME (AND MINE)!!!
So...why not just lower it to $40,000? Someone must really need an extra $0-2500 in their pocket, I guess. Unless it's some kind of eBay/PayPal fee thing...

New 2K master is reason enough to buy it, everything else is gravy.

I bought it and will be getting the release 3 weeks early, with 2 posters and 2 slip covers all for only $5 more than what the standard edition cost since shipping was included in the deluxe edition price. It's pretty safe to say that between the posters and extra slip that if I wanted to sell any/all of these items (which I Don't) I would probably make enough to get the Blu Ray for free.

The Deluxe was a great buy for me as well. One of the very few times patience actually won out for me.

All of those years being so scared of it when I was younger I can't wait to see it again with this new scan. So scared I didn't even know there was nudity in it until I saw it again after so many years in 2002.

It's a 4th of July movie I'd actually like to watch on the 4th of July so spending a couple bucks on the limited set to have it early and by then is worth it for me alone, the extra poster, slipcover, and free shipping are just gravy on top

Exactly! I can't fathom why it wouldn't make sense to get the deluxe edition because it's easily the better buy for a whooping $5 more.

I believe dentists meant he sees no reason to buy it now that it's sold out and will be more expensive, and I agree. It's cool if you got an order in but not really worth OOP prices. An extra slipcover just seems like an unnecessary job - what do you do with it? Put it in an empty case? They should have made it more like the Nightbreed limited case so it could slip over the regular slip.

Will this be the definitive version? I already own the first blu-ray release. I heard that they couldn't clear one of the songs used in the film so they replaced it with something else?

They couldn't get the rights for "Dead Beat Dance" from The Damned. The Second Sight blu-ray has it. This new blu-ray contains a new transfer so it's not possible to determine which is definitive yet.
