Couple notes to bring myself up to speed in this thread:

Love this show can't wait for it to return, though I miss it on Mondays.

I love Kaley but don't like tattoos.

I love Amy Farah Fowler on the show -- can't believe someone actually said she "doesn't add anything". She adds a lot to Sheldon's character.

Wyldeman banned? whoa.

amy needs to be booted ASAP!! she takes away from the core characters....the show needs to go back to Leonard, Sheldon, Raj, Howard, and Penny.

bring bernadette in from time to time but don't make her a regular character.

this show is getting into that territory that i hate....where the creators bring in a new regular on the show and it feels like they are forced in just for a change of pace.

I have to disagree to an extent. Amy & Bernadette should stick around but not be "regulars". Having them around can create some very interesting scenes or maybe even full story arcs... the writers just need to be careful to not stray too far from the main characters we all enjoy seeing so much. Would be really funny seeing how Sheldon would react to sleeping with Amy... or if he could even go thru with it like when he tried to take a shot of whiskey.

Also, I was getting tired of Leonard & Penny not being back together and was thinking maybe.. just maybe they would of gotten back together at the end of last season but nooooo...

They had to throw a hudge wrench in the middle of them getting back together! Poor Leonard. Him and Raj must now have a fight to the death ... using robots.

just saw the tv spot for the new season.

1 hour season premiere!!

and really glad to not see amy or bernadette in the spot!!

I'm really glad to hear it was better than last season considering season four is my least favorite of the show. It seemed so...flat....That wasn't The Big Bang Theory I knew.

So glad they brought their A game for the season premiere!

Season 4 is by far the weakest I'd say.

Season 1 - 5/5
Season 2 - 5/5 (the best)
Season 3 - 4.5/5
Season 4 - 3/5

If I had to rate these first two episodes, I'd say a 4/5. It's a start

I was about to comment on my experience with Season 4. Having read the reviews first about how it lost it's charm and introducing all these new characters, I was going in expecting to be disappointed. That, however was not the case. I still loved the show the same as I always did. Amy was surprisingly more funny than I thought she would be. I enjoyed a lot of the episodes. I will even go as far as to say I enjoyed it much more than Season 3. I never really enjoyed Penny and Leonard together. It seems better to me, them wanting each other but never having each other. Raj, also seemed more hilarious in Season 4 than usual. Plus, the episode where everyone goes along with Howard's card trick was one of the funniest yet, in my opinion. I loved season 4 and can't wait for season 5. Great show that never dissapoints.

Promising beginning. Last season seemed to lack a lot of what the show work although any scene with Penny and Sheldon in it together is great, Focus on what works and forget the rest. Good beginning again.

Was it just me or did last nights episode seem... off? Sheldon didn't seem to be acting like himself. And sticking that toy train in his mouth with his germaphobic ways? Not believable...

And while I'm one of the few people on these forums that actually likes Amy, they really didn't need to spend so much time on her unless this was a setup for an upcoming arc where her and Sheldon finally start dating officially. With his defensive attack on Leonard thats the direction it seems to be going but I got tired of Amy's antics before they even left the apartment.
