Question for everyone and anyone...

Does anyone on the forums apply any kind of treatments to their speakers say to the finish?

My speakers get blasted with sunlight first thing in the morning and i fear that over time the finish may wear/diminish.

I would like to apply a treatment or a finish that will maintain their beautiful cabinets? I am also on planning on buying them little jackets for the winter..is this going too far? (j/k about the jackets heh)

But really has anyone applied any treatment to their speakers?

you can put uv treatment on your window pane, that wouid help, and use hard carnauba wax on your speaker

Whaa... ? So the Sheepskin Coat, Tweeter Scarf, the little Mittens (for their little spikes) and the anti wrinkle cream was taking it too far?

On a serious note, I do not have the same issue as you Eddie but if I did, I would certainly look into it. The magnificent finish that you have on those speakers could start to look real bad if neglected.

If you are not using them, a thick flannel sheet thrown over them will help protect them. I've seen people put towels over their speakers while they are not in use.

Another option is custom dust covers -- sort of like a loose fitting sock over them.

Added some more pics of my system. You may notice that widened my front sound stage from the original pictures. I also moved the sub up front.

Holy crap! These look like pics from a police investigation.

I don't follow golf too close so, is this the chick that was kissing the phalic looking trophy?
