I'm also waiting for the standalone release of the first one. With the Blu-rays, I was willing to hold my nose and buy the first two sequels (and, to be honest, I don't mind TLW much at all), but this time around I just want JP (and I'm definitely not willing to pay for JW).

I kind of see 1 and 4 as the only "real" movies too, as in the only ones that count story-wise. I still love Lost World and JP3 as goofy adventure movies though. They're flawed as hell but still better than the majority of the genre.

Based off of all the promotional materials for Fallen Kingdom, it looks like the events of TLW and JP3 are going to be much more significant than they were in JW.

Yeah but whether it "counts" story wise to me depends on how good it is, and it ain't lookin' too good.

Peter Jackson's King Kong. Coincidentally it also belongs to the big ape action adventure genre.

There are no 4k only releases. All come with BDs.
I know, it’s annoying lol. I guess I could sell off the box set that I have now, maybe keep the 3D discs for JP and JW... I’m weird about breaking up sets though.

I'm only seing PJ's King Kong and Kong Skull Island falling into the big budget dinosaurs movies and to me they're both MUCH better than JP2 and 3!

I'm sure I'm in the vast minority but I've always had a soft spot for JP3. It seems to be my go to when I need a Jurassic fix. It's quick paced and has good cgi. The first is my fav but I watch it maybe once a year.

JP 3 is better than the second.

JP > JW > JP3 >>>>>>>>> JP2

So i guess i might be the only person that loves all 4 jurassic park movies. Also hoping the 4k version gets the 2011 transfer or at leasts fix the 2013 coloring.

In JP 2 they call the baby T-rex "the infant" how cheesy is that?
And the cheeseburger order while there hanging on a cliff, I mean C'mon man!!!

Technically also Godzilla, since he's now a dinosaur and not the product of nuclear testing.

The cheeseburger order scene is great. And the Baby Trex being called " The infant" doesn't really bother me.

UK announcement coming on March 11th for these it seems. Zoom.co.uk (owned by Universal) will be treating us to some 4K Steelbooks too. Looks like we’ll be getting single releases over here.
