Househead, you might want to try a Salvation Army Store, Furniture In The Raw, or any second-hand thrift store. If you can wait awhile, I would suggest going to garage sales in your area or even try the classified ads. Whatever route you choose, I hope you find what you are looking for and I would like to see pictures of the finished product please; by the way that is an awesome poster you got there - I am envious.

The 3D Lenticular movie posters are really quite nice. Some are more of a holographic effect whereas they appear to move (an example is the Jurassic Park: Lost World one) and some are more of a depth perception style (an example is Alice in Wonderland). Yes, lenticulars look the best when placed in a light box frame (similar to the ones you see in movie theaters). Not every movie obviously gets a lenticular, but they are making more of them than they used to. I believe the latest lenticular out there is for the new Resident Evil film. Some are very expensive to produce for a studio in that they are hard rigid plastic like posters that can't be rolled up while others are printed on a thick paper but are ones you can roll up if need be but not rolled too tightly.

In the case of good movies and posters, like iron man or LOR, the prices go up and sometimes fast.

I never get my posters from MovieGoods. Great info here. Thanks!
Yes, some posters rise in value considerably faster than others. Look at Dark Knight as an example and Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Rings, however my prices are a fraction of what the few other dealers who have them in stock are. Toy Story 3 saw NINE different posters produced for the U.S. marketing campaign, so if you just have one, you got eight more to get.

I am still waiting to see what the final style of the poster is going to look like. I hope they changed it up a little.
If I have it, the only Milla Jovoich poster I would have is the teaser for Resident Evil: Extinction. I saw one in my inventory unsure if I sold it. I believe for Afterlife only two posters were produced to my knowledge, and that is the style of her falling through a window shooting in both a standard paper format, and a lenticular 3D format. The other style of her "wet" looking off to the side I believe was the international final style.

I don't get them all just a few that look good with the green neon.

Cool I'll have to see what I can find. They would probably look great in my poster frame which is back lit.

I see the avatar one is a bit pricey.

To be honest I was surprised they did a lenticular style, they don't do many of those at all because of the high cost, I thought they would have just settled with a just the one style of poster, but doing a lenticular was an added bonus for fans.

The Sherlock Holmes styles would look good then for green neon as those three styles that were produced all had a heavy green emphasis to them.

Well in my honest opinion, that price is rather inflated. Realistically the Avatar lenticular on the high end, in mint condition, would be about $1000, maybe slightly more but not $3000. If they can end up getting that, more power to them though. I have some of the advance teaser style movie posters signed by James Cameron, when I met him a few weeks back, I will be offering one on eBay for charity fairly soon.

assuming they only have one, I got to see it in their showroom while they were having an exhibit of all their Avatar posters, it looked really amazing in the light box. I really need to win the lottery if I want to get into this hobby

An exhibit of all of their Avatar posters? There were only a few styles made for Avatar, was this an exhibit of originals OR of originals with reproductions as well? Can't understand why someone would have an exhibit of originals when there were only two styles produced for the U.S. marketing campaign and I believe two for the International release as well. But I know there are several commercially made posters, essentially reproductions in various sizes of scenes from the movie, etc. You can pretty much go on MovieGoods website and see all the reproductions on there, more or less images they pull from various websites, etc.

They were pretty much all international posters.

They run exhibits from time to time in the unit next to movieposter.com, they had a bond collection up last year I believe which was really cool. Obviously I can't vouch for the authenticity of the international posters, but I'm always impressed by the posters they do have on display.

Unless something changed, and perhaps it did and I don't know it, original Italian and French movie posters are folded, not rolled, due to their large size. Also original Japanese are much smaller in size. I stopped carrying foreign posters many years ago because they were too difficult to get and since I pride myself on carrying only authentic originals and not reproductions like many others do, I found it to be too much of a hassle tracking down real foreign styles. I still have some in my inventory, very few though.

Default The Art of Drew Struzan Hardcover

I recommend this to everyone who is a movie poster collector of fan....the newly released hardcover book "The Art of Drew Struzan" who is the man responsible for some of the more iconic movie posters in the past 30 years. It is currently about $23 on Amazon.com and worth every single penny. Trust me on that. Drew is one of those artists that comes along once in a great way, and hopefully he will come out of retirement and do a few more posters in the coming future. But seriously, I highly recommend this book to everyone here if you are into movie posters, and the majority of you are, especially if you are reading this. Here is a direct link:

I've ordered my copy of "The Art of Drew Struzan" but I didn't know he had retired. I'm sure he recently produced a limited edition teaser poster for The Walking Dead TV show.
