becuz they already had a stand alone 4K slipcover edition for that.

it was an old print so not the best condition/presentation, the place that shows it kind of markets itself as almost a fleapit of sorts showing, all these old films so not unexpected (some of the other 35mm screenings i've seen has been similar, but JP was the worst except for a really degraded fantasia which had a red hue all over it for its entire duration), so there were bits that had green lines running down the frame, lots of scratches in places etc. which again, not unexpected, but what did surprise me is how fuzzy/out of focus it was in some shots. Is this part of/an effect of film degrading over time? i wouldn't have thought so but i don't know anything really. the screen isn't big so its not that it was being blown up too large or something. in most shots it was fine though and nice and clear and sharp. i would be really interested to see a 4K DCP screening now if i ever got the opportunity to for comparison.

A shame it was a bit rough, but still had to have been cool.
The fuzzy/OOF at times was probably just how it was shot.
Vinegar Syndrom can sometimes start to warp film and it can loose focus a bit, but that wouldn't be timed to hit just for the length of certain shots.

Yeah kinda reminds me of the Explorers transfer. Maybe they did do a new 4k scan.... this time with DNR AND the wrong ratio.

Why do they insist on using Jurassic World art for all six movies?! That bothers me about these various new editions.

I do like the look of the set personally. A lot nicer than many of Universal's recent offerings.

I do like the steelbook case and spines better than the one that was just released last year, but not worth a rebuy. Case appears to be the exact same artwork, just black and gold instead of silver and white.

The SteelBooks are cool but I am NOT buying these movies AGAIN lol (unless they release discs with better picture). The only way I’d buy them again is if they were released as the six movies in a single standard 6-disc case or even a SteelBook (ideally they’d do one case with the 4K discs and one case with the Blu-rays).

So disappointing that this is a lazy repackage. This film deserves better.
