I didn't fill them. With the speakers attached they are solid and I'm not worried about them falling over.

sofronitsky, I like the faux finish used on the wall behind the equipment. Did you do it yourself or have it done?

Thanks. I did it myself...
Two shades of blue paint, roller, brush, sponge and a 12-pack of beer.

yeah filling the stands will cut down on any unwanted resonances in the stand from the speakers and will effectively prevent the stands vibration from coloring the sound of the speakers.

yeah.... I've thought about it..... just haven't seen the need to yet.

Here is what I did, and it may not be best, but I did it anyways...

My speakers came with rubber foot-pad things.... I put them on the stands, and then secured with the bolts from the stands to the bottom of the speakers.... this compressed the rubber pads, giving the speakers a layer of separation from the top of the stands...... My center just sits on the stand, so I just have it sitting on the rubber feetl

That should work pretty darn good. Are your stands a hefty all metal design? If so then what you have done is probably good enough. If your a purist you might just do it anyway, but i doubt it would make a difference.

EDIT: ahh i see you have the FS-700's? Those are pretty darn hefty stands. What you have done is just fine. And hey, if it sounds good thats all that matters!

Finally had time to clean this up and post some pictures of my setup, i'm missing an audio system, but with my first kid coming in two months, i have my mind on baby stuff right now

My sweet little Steelbook collection, + more Blu-Ray + some PS3 games, i don't own a huge PS3 collection because i buy, play and sell. And i can't really sell games like Conan, Bioshock and Hellboy cuz they are worth like 10$ And some other are just like to keep

My Graphic Novel collection, i'm a huge Mignola fan (BPRD, Hellboy...) Also my Playstation Mags, i've been subscribed for 2 years now.

Another shot from my setup, missing the right part :P (Wife part minus DVDs)

Those are my DVDs but ill probably sell them to upgrade to Blu-Ray, i really never watch them... Also great "George" shot !

Another picture of my TV, it's quite hard to get a good quality shot.

The Princess is fat !

Ma sweet baby !

Suggestions for an audio system are also welcome, something like 2.1 or soundbar for cheap (around 500$)

j/k Great looking setup. Let us know when you get some clearer pics.

BTW, does the center obstruct the TV at all?

One sub for now(NYC apt). I'll try to get better pics.
No obstruction whatsoever. From my seating position, the top of the center is exactly 1" from the bottom of screen.
