Well whoever that was, he was absolutely correct. I was wrong with the version I had picked out. I ended up returning all six of those long, oversized underbed bins and got these ones instead: Sterilite 32qt Clear View Storage Bin with Latch Purple.

They are perfect. The previous one was 48qt so they held exactly +50% more, but they are also too big and too heavy to maneuver when full. These ones are only $7.99 (precisely half the price) and are much more portable. They each hold about ~80 amaray cases comfortably.

This is a much better solution that what I was using previously. They stack well, are smaller and simpler to move, and it's easy to grab a couple additional ones from the store if you need more. Both the price and the portability.

I have now reclaimed my living room space and it looks so much better.
I like those, and haven't seen them before.

As for myself, I use these bins from The Container Store. Each holds roughly 36 standard blu-ray cases. They stack very well and they're also good for compact discs and paperbacks (regular or trade):

Those are the same ones I use. Got about 30 of them, pretty much filled at this point. Been needing a few more but they've been out of stock at most retailers.

Wouldn't mind the double wide Sterilite option, might pick up a few of those instead.

you didn't mention the important part: price?

The main thing that has kept me from doing this for years was not wanting to waste hundreds of dollars on bulky petroleum products I will want to throw away when I'm done using them. Especially if I wasn't sure which one to buy, which size I wanted, or whether I can buy additional matching ones in the future. Was shocked to learn I could pick up 15 of them them for $110 after discounts and tax, and basically store everything I want to put away. I went to the store, bought five of them, loved them, bought a couple more, kept sorting and alphabetizing stacks, and went back and bought several more yesterday. I still have a couple left over, to fill leisurely with TV on DVD and other boxed sets.

It's never about "buying a single bin". There's a massive gateway you have to choose to cross when getting started with this process.

Do you have a shelf for some movies, then put the rest in bins? If so, how do you decide what goes on a shelf versus what goes in bins?

I also recommend Amazon shipping box #160. It's a good size to hold two rows of Blu-ray, totalling around 66 cases per box. Best of all, they are free, but I don't always get this size of boxes. Keep an eye whenever you have packages from Amazon.

I only keep around 500 titles on shelves at home, and these are things that I know I will watch again at some point and will want at hand when the urge strikes.

The bins I have in my house are only titles I haven't opened yet. When I want to watch something, I basically reach into the currently open bin and take out a disc almost at random. It is a bit like a Netflix where it is only stuff I know I want to see at some point, since something motivated me to buy the disc in the past. I end up pleasantly surprised more often than not, especially since I try to find positive things in everything I watch. Failing that, I still try to take away something from the experience, if it is another lesson in how to not make a movie.

After watching, I accumulate the watched discs into another bin and, when full, off it goes to my storage unit where I have also stored a large number of books, records and CDs. I love my house but have far more than would fit in it, so the solution for me was outside storage. It's close, and I have the items in it fairly well organized, so it isn't that much more of an effort to access something I want to see, read or listen to, but isn't so important to me that I want it available at all times.

$16.99 each? Really??? Is it that one?

Yikes.

Twice the price for half the space. That's literally 4x+ more expensive.

Yep. To each their own, and whatever solutions work best for them. As for myself, I like how they are only a bit wider than a DVD case is high. That means more flexibility for some of my existing storage solutions. I just happen to have a space in a closet the exact width for these containers to be stored in five columns. On the shelves in my storage unit, these can be put two-high in three columns (with a few inches remaining to put a large book or maybe a vinyl boxed set). If they were twice as wide, I would have an odd amount of space remaining.

I use these underbed bins from Container Store. They also work really well for storing complete Sega Genesis games and Nintendo NES carts, lol.

Made a book order:

Avengers omnibus 1
Avengers omnibus 2
Avengers omnibus 3

With 10% off veterans day off and b2g1 total was $143.08 with taxes.

Wanted to get the Invincible Ironman omnibus but for some reason it's not included in the sale.

These are like the ones I found at Walmart. Mine are 32 & 34qt each and work great. I also got lucky and found some Hefty underbed storage 63qt containers in late Jan. marked down to $8.50 at Target(assuming they were Christmas related with the red & green lids). Personally I prefer the ones like you have there to the longer, larger underbed containers. But for the price I couldn't pass them up as I really needed them.

I bought 2 toys and tried to use my $10 off toy coupon yesterday, but discount would not apply. I immediately went to Customer Service and returned both items. I should have checked to see which toys actually qualify for this coupon.

Exclamation Black Friday Update

B2G1 promo will be returning during the week of Nov. 19th. Books, movies, and music are all being advertised. Cannot confirm if EVERY title in-store will be eligible, but signage should be up by Sunday the 19th. I will update if anything else comes up between now and then. Most promos in the entertainment department will extend from Black Friday week into Cyber Monday.

Also returning that week:

Apple gift card (digital only) promo: Spend $100, get $15 Target GC

Lastly, the annual 10% off Target gift card offer returns from Dec. 2-3. Offer is valid up to $500 on Target gift cards (max discount of $50 per guest).

I think it was during this sale last year (B2G1) where Thor Love and Thunder 4K and Lightyear 4K were like $8.75 or some crazy price, plus B2G1 on top of it.

Correct. The deal was posted here on the Monday prior to Thanksgiving on 11/21/22:

Tomorrow will be 1 year since Target surprised us with Doctor Strange MOM at $9.99

Would love to wake up tomorrow and see Wakanda Forever like that.

For some reason I can't get any products to populate on the Target site. Its been like this since last night, I do a search for something and nothing shows up but an advertisment on the page. Anyone else having this issue?

The Target website is working fine for me... I'm on a Windows PC using Chrome... Maybe try clearing your cookies? Or try Incognito/Private Mode to see if it works there...
