Yeah, blurayisnice is from Holland is temporarily in NYC. Not sure why he changed that in his location, but that's his business.

Is nice, you can Google "what is the times square zipcode". I just did, it.s 10036. Here is the listing for the Steelbook:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Zero+Dar...irty&lp=4&cp=1

Click on Check Stores, and type in 10036. Looks like 6 stores around times square still have it in stock.

EDIT: I just checked another site & a guy says he put the disc in his player set to Region B and ZDT is Region A "locked", so be aware if you're not in North America & region free. I believe Universal has Euro rights.

These people aren't taking a commodity like food or water and hoarding it, these are movies or games we're talking about, and as I said earlier, people don't have to buy from them. I certainly wouldn't pay $400 for a video game with a cheesy plastic bird and a book or two in the box, it isn't worth it, and it's not worth the retail price either, but to someone out there, maybe it is, and that drives the market price up, builds the hype, and of course, people will attempt to capitalize on it.

This has nothing to do with a "f the world" attitude, these are people that are trying to make some extra bucks and I don't begrudge them a bit for doing it. Calling it sick and comparing these sellers to people that are truly exploiting things is a bit over the top. I think a bit of perspective is in order here.

True it works both ways, but it should not have to. If you ordered something very limited and in the end did not want it, would you offer it to a collector on this forum for the cost to you or would you prefer to sell it for $50 profit? What is sickening in some people would choose option B, and that's why I am angry often when this topic comes up, it shows people just don't care about others, that $50 is more than someone elses happiness.

Do you think it's okay that amazon is now sold out of the $150 Bioshock edition, yet on their very own site scalpers are selling it through amazon marketplace for $400? If it's worth that much in people's eyes then amazon should cancel all orders and sell it at a higher price so they can make a profit.

Remember the Dark Knight broken mask? Bought two, gave one to a friend as a random surprise gift instead of scalping it for $200+ on ebay the first week they were hot. The Inception mega rare WBshop briefcase? Gift to a good friend instead of a $300 profit. I have numerous signed art books, game CEs, and memorabilia going back 20 years that I could easily sell for five figures, but I don't. If I ever have an extra of something it's for a fellow forum member or a personal friend, not for profit. If you need the $50 that bad then find another job, I'll never take money over someone elses happiness.

Did you happen to look at the spine of your copy? I just opened mine and it's not real apparent, but I noticed under the right light that there is a slight spine slash from poor quality control opening products. Like I said, it isn't a bad slash, but it still annoys me that it's there at all.

I haven't seen any pics of the inside and back yet, although I haven't looked at the entire thread. Is it confirmed that this comes with the DVD disc also? Or is it just a single BD disc?

People on this site are so judgemental and nosy. Once someone buys the item, its theirs. What they do with it is none of your buisness. If someone does something that you don't like you get all pissed off at them. Telling the person that they are wrong and you're right. There are a few people in particular on this site who get on my last nerves (not pointing any fingers here).

Everyone seriously needs to stop this. Its getting out of hand.

This is how it usually goes "oh you have a different opinion than me? Well you're wrong and stupid. I'm gonna bash you for 2 pages."

Stop acting like children.

So I go to the store this morning to secure a mint copy, as my preorder was due to arrive until Friday...yeah it showed up with today's mail. Unbelievably it was, also, in mint condition, despite only being in a plastic mailer. The only padding was the sales receipt. Amazing!

I didn't read every post and there have been a lot of new ones today

I feel the same way about scalpers that alot of you do and I would not mind seeing a limit on the number of copies that can be purchased.

Unfortunately I have a sourcing thread over on a board that is mostly Europeans (probably the only active American member there) and they often make requests which means I have to buy multiple copies. I needed 10 Hobbit digibooks, 6 Zero Dark Thirty Steelbooks and will need only 4 copies of the Target Les Miserables, including one for myself. I prefer to do my sourcing shopping in store as opposed to online so any kind of limitation on the number of copies I can purchase would affect my ability to help these guys out

BB in town only had 3 and all were store pick-ups before hand. Had to drive to the next closest BB which is 45 minutes away. They had like a dozen of them. Just glad I actually really liked the movie and happy I got mine.

That's certainly a nice gesture on your part, and based on your posts I don't believe you are in it to make money, which is sincere.
BUT...you are kind of robbing Peter to pay Paul. While you are helping international "friends" obtain their copy, you are denying US customers theirs.
It's a slippery slope and this debate will rage on with every foreseeable store exclusive. I guess the bottom line is either preorder it, or get there at opening.
I know BB is in dire financial straits, but why not double the quantity that they got? It seems that steelbooks/digibook exclusives, especially, with big name movies are pure gold. Why not bump up the quantities, to help spoil the secondary market. Again a slippery slope, I suppose.

Yeah I agree with you. I do feel kind of weird about it

BB just needs to make more copies like you say. Considering Steelbooks aren't normally that expensive, compared to say a $70 Avengers gift set, they should be able to move these fairly easily.

Why didn't anybody here just buy at bb.com and do a store pickup to get their copy reserved? As of now, my local bestbuy is out of steelbooks, glad I ordered at midnight.

Well, without knowing everyone's financial situation, it is hard for me to condemn someone for wanting to make a buck. Do I think it is ok for Amazon to allow people on their marketplace to sell it at that price? Eh, tough question. I see it all the time though with rare Blu-Rays, so my opinion is irrelevant if Amazon doesn't have an issue with it.

I admire your giving up profits, but to really go after someone HARD and call them some not so nice names, just because they are trying to take advantage of a "rare" item they may have, is a bit hard for me to take. If they were withholding food or water, that is different, but these are games or movies and we have the option of just not buying from those individuals.

I appreciate your opinion and the discussion though.

Because you weren't able to do that until late last night. That is how I got mine though, I did the purchase, after store hours, told them in-store pickup, then got it today.

lets have just one thread without the scalper discussion....Every thread someone complains usually getting the thread locked. If the market demands the high price, so be it. No one is forcing anyone to pay the price.

Now some useful information, the disc is region A locked
