I usually just buy a $50 card during these annual gift card sales. I already get 5% with my Red Card, so it's really just an extra 5%.

Yeah but if you have a Discover card that gives you 5% back at Target this quarter you'll get effectively 14.5% off, which is considerably more than the 5% Redcard savings. I usually max out the $500 in gift cards each year with my Discover card. I get $22.50 cash back and I have money for months worth of movie deals or groceries.

The only issue this year is that I don't see myself buying as many movies from Target going forward, given their recent cuts on what they stock.

There is a way to get additional 5% on top of that 14.5%, but it only works online and not all the categories, and requires that you buy the GC in smallest amount possible. I've been using the same trick for years. I don't want them to close that loophole so I won't share in public. I only told a couple of people on blu-ray.com.

But you're right, at the rate Target's catalog of physical media is shrinking, we'd have nothing by the next B2G1.

I already hit the $75 maximum cash back from Discover due to the Amazon/Target 5% bonus, so I did the next best thing I could do and bought a $500 card using the PayPal Mastercard through PayPal, which gives me 3% cash back.

Same here, I already bought $500 worth today, paid with Discover... But I give $100 away as gifts to my niece and nephew (50 each). so I only have $400 to spend...

Well this is odd…

I received $20 Circle earnings from spending $60 3x and used half on an order that I ended up having to return today. I also had to return one of the original 3 purchases. Well today I spent $60 again so now I have the $10 from the return order with the Circle earnings used and another new $20 from my new qualifying purchase…

the last couple of years i did the giftcard but im skipping this year. Its just to hard to make orders these days with how sparse and limited movie selections can be these days.

I always get an extra gift card for myself-they are good to have and never expire.

Mandalorian seasons 1-2 are back..... but no longer count toward the Circle deal. Looks like many titles no longer count, even in-stock ones.

EDIT: Might have been a glitch because it's working again, but now Mando season 1 is sold out again.
