Sometimes, but I still like to admit that spending for my PS3 was the best $600 dollars I've ever spent. So, I'm glad I bought mine before the price drop.

Not at all, I love my 60GB PS3 upgraded to 320GB...

When I brought it home my wife was PIIISSSSSSED off because we were trying to save money for a house, but after she saw everything I was able to do with it she said, "You know, I didn't realize all the things this could do.. it's pretty nice!"

That said enough. It really was a $600 machine at the time and worth every. single. penny.

No regrets here either! I'm pretty sure it was a bit more expensive in Canada, and by the time you add in an extra controller, at least one game (resistance was my first) and taxes etc, i think it was around $1000.

So it drops $300, 3 years late... the $300 i spent to have it between now and then was definitely worth it!!!

Like most posting I have not a single regret buying this for 700 bucks. I usually wait for a new tech to mature but in this case my loyalty stays with Playstation series consoles and had no choice to buy it, unfortunately not day 1 but month 1 when superstore had a new stock come in.

I paid a lot more than $600 here in the UK, and a few week ago it came down with YLOD. And I still have no regrets whatsoever. Will be buying a slim, probably at launch.

No. I have loved every minute of it. Should I be mad that I paid $600 for my first DVD player when I can buy one for $25 now? I'm not.

I'm glad I got mine when I did. I don't think I could have waited 2 and a 1/2 years.

Don't care how much I spent on it, I'm sure the slim will drop down in price after some time too anyway.

I bought a Japanese launch 60GB PS3 for 55,000 Yen, including the promotional blu-ray for Spider-Man.

No regrets, at all. Sure, a cheaper model will be launched, now, but for my 55,000 Yen I:
- could already enjoy using the PS3 for more than 2 years (games & blu-ray);
- have a PS3 with Emotion Engine (full PS2 support), even though I rarely use it;
- have a model with 4USB ports and universal memory card reader

All things considered, I think I can't complain. The PS3 slim is of course also a great investment for people that jump onboard only now.

I don't regret because I would not be this far and deep in the blu world.

Not one regret. I didn't purchase my 60GB on launch day, but when announcement of the sunsetting of the 20GB and 60GB came I dropped the $$ for a 60GB. I still believe every dollar spent for the PS3 was worth it even with the much cheaper $250 Wii sitting next to it (which last I had checked, the Wii hadn't seen over a year's worth of play versus the PS3).

The way I see it, if I was one of the many that was able to contribute to the acceptance of the Blu-Ray media format as well as Sony being able to come out with a Slim version then great.

One of the best pieces of hardware that I've ever owned. So no, I don't regret it a bit and while the price has now dropped significantly, I've gotten a lot of enjoyment from it during that time.

Absolutely not! My wife and I have had an absolute blast with our PS3 through gaming, online, and blu ray. The entertainment value we have gotten from our PS3 over the last 2-1/2 years has been totally worth it!
