You've experienced it at some point.

Look what's happening with Gladiator...

UK, Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, Thailand and Mexico!
Do you really think multi release of SBs is going to end?

This is just the beginning, the future from an OCD point of view is getting scarier and darker by the day!

I knew from reading the odd Steelbook thread that you two were heavily involved, but I had no idea of the true extent of your dedication.

Respect and kudos.

I understand the genesis of your affliction, and I sympathize. I think to some extent every collector has a hint of OCD, and has struggled with self control. It must be a sad day to say "enough", but it's an indication that insanity hasn't fully set in.

Good Luck!
This place is certainely odd for someone who still have this thing called "self-control" I use to have!

You knew we were heavily involved?
If the normal people finds us how long will we be free?

I gladely take your respect and kudos but I'm expecting nothing less then this:

JUST KIDDING!

I don't think insanity deserves that treatment!

Cheers,
Gui.

tiger_qc oh what are you complaining.. each country get it's own SteelBook (so far except Mexico). That's a really nice cover!!! Written in English. It's mine!!!
So, there's a chance that French got it's own. Not to forget Poland

I forgot about Poland!
I will try to get some updates for the inside artwork but my friend isn't getting the Steel for him and there's no way he open one of mine!

Gui.

Speaking of MetalPaks - don't you think we should prepare a definitive lists of MetalPaks and Stickerbooks, as they keep popping up? With three separate lists it would be easier for the newcomers to find out if the product they're about to buy is the real deal.

Stickerbook are made by Scanavo and they are Steelbooks, not the best looking but still.
On the other hand Metalpaks are an inferior product and the hinge look REALLY ugly. Just stick to howwon's list there's no metalpaks listed here and I believe the stickerbooks are marked.

Cheers,
Gui.

.... and the nightmare continues to get worse and worse, with now 8 pretty much confirmed Gladiator Steelbooks.

The Star Trek steelbook is starting to look the same way with release news starting to trickle out from different countries.

This is the trend and not the exception

I will stop in 2010, no question about it. I am already looking at 2009 and trying to figure out how to afford all the releases that are coming out. At my last count, there was 50 confirmed releases with a bunch rumored. We will easily hit 60 if not 70 by the end of the year (granted some of these will be the multi-country releases, but when you must have them all, they all count).

All these releases will probably exceed $3000CDN when all is said and done and that is frakkin nuts for movies I will never ever ever open

As I had said in an earlier post, it used to be fun and I wasn't too worried about the $$$, but now it is out of control and the $$$ are starting to matter as I can feel it and I find myself standing in a store looking at something else and not buying it because of the need to save $$$ for the steels.

It has been a journey to say the least, but all journeys do come to an end at some point

Cheers all
CrashKelly

I'm not too sure how I'm gonna afford all of these Steelbooks either Crash!
But the OCD will find a way...
And by 2010 Iif I still get them all I will get bankrupted and become homeless.
Time to get back on the planet.

Cheers,
Gui.

Yes, the OCD will find a way, we always do

Shell it out now, and pay for it in 2010 when the mass buying stops.

and just to make it a little more painful, I have it on good authority, that the Gladiator steelbook will also be released in:

Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Korea

add this onto the releases from:

UK, Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, Thailand, Mexico, and Poland

And we end up at 13 releases for the Gladiator BD Steelbook

This is the worst one yet

Cheers

that's what I suspect.. Poland, Thailand, Hong-Kong looks like they will be sharing the same disc.

For everyone.. I'm looking for the white cover, without rating Logo, with inside artwork, with portuguese subtitle. It's tought all this combination, which so far does not exists. I could only find the German with rating Logo unfortunately, and Italy without inside artwork
