PS3 is outselling 360 in North America. Has the tide shifted?

I say wait until either the holidays or early next year then we'll really see if the tide has turned. The 360 has a year's advantage over the PS3 but with the fact that MS had to extend the warranty of the 360 to 3 years and that they've lost $1,000,000,000 because of it and the fact that the public generally thinks that the 360 is a ticking time bomb as far as the three red lights of death issue, the tide might turn quicker than what I just said.

I agree with the above post. Also none of the xbox fanboys ever mention that prior to Gears of War the most played game on xboxlive was Halo 2 which is actually a xbox title not a 360 title.
So to all the 360 xbots it took over a year for you guys to get a great game. We actually had a pretty great launch title w/ RFoM. The ps3 should have about 5-6 great games by the end of '07.

Not just yet as the others have said its probably just a blip due to the price drop. The tide will shift just give it some time. Once HD-DVD is dead officially and developers come around to the blu side of things....

also...nobody has brought this up...at least from what I saw...

the 360 had a whole holiday by itself...

the PS3 came out and competed with a new Wii that was almost a 3rd of the price of the PS3....on top of a 360 that people ended up buying as a last resort when they couldn't find a PS3 or Wii....

you can't compare the two in their 1st year.....it's apples and peaches..

You seriously don't think those will appeal to the N.A market?

Not sure why since the styles historically have. And the "new" franchises like Haze, Warhawk are perfectly matched to the N.A mindset IMO.

Also the quality we are seeing will I think cause some 360 owners to also pick up a PS3 at the lower price point etc...even the diehards that have been resisting that "evil" Sony.. we know they are really closet admirers of the PS3 itself.

They simply won't be able to resist 32-player Warhawk given the shooter *****s they are....Warhawk is a word of mouth system seller...still having withdrawal symptoms now the Beta is over. Trust me any 360 shooter fan that jumps into this on their friends PS3 is going to be hooked. It's an incredibly addictive game - coming from a campaign *****.

Of course price will still be a big factor for sure.

it would have been the #1 system all along if the prices were about even like during the ps2, gamecube, xbox1 battle ... just so many cheapO's out there
