Below is an article i found online. I know it only pertains to certain people, but i hope that this information is helpful. I searched and i did not see this posted else where, so i hope that this is not a repeat.

Sony has continued its ever-tempting Blu-Ray promotional offer in the United States and Canada to the end of the month.

Until February 29, 2008, with proof of purchase of a PlayStation 3 bought between October 2007 and January 31st 2008, customers will be able to send away for five free Blu-Ray movies from a selection of 18.

The offer applies to North American consumers of any Sony Blu-Ray player, including both the 40GB and 80GB version of the PlayStation 3.

This is a continuation of a similar promotion that ended in September 2007.

Well, not exactly "old". The first "5 free movies" promo started in May of last year and expired in August.

This is a continuation of the one that started in September.

This extension is good news for people looking to buy a Blu-ray player with their new HDTV for Super Bowl.

Exactly. This isn't and never was a "Sony offer"

Here's the PDF for it. I need to remind a friend of mine that has been thinking of getting a PS3 soon. I think he was going to wait until Feb. or March but if the offer ends at the end of January, maybe that will get him to buy it sooner.
