has anybody heard anything about this lately? if i recall correctly, last i saw it was going to be incorporated into HOME...as some sort of African safari or vacation for the users. not so much a video game, but an experience? i don't know...does that sound right? i would like to see a new trailer or some pics. the only media i can find is from over a year ago, and it was stunning. shin-ra...wave your magic wand and find us a new video...please

not much has been heard about it at all. Between this game and 8 days, people are speculating they may just end up as tech demos and never become games.

It won't be a download--it will be a retail game to be released late this year/early 2008. I don't know too much about it--the developers have been very tight-lipped--but I am really looking forward to playing this game.

What little I've heard about it indicates it's going to be a nature simulation along the vein of the Wii's Endless Ocean, only set in Africa instead of underwater.

Not particularly something I'm interested in, but maybe there's someone out there that is...

It's a standalone game but there may be an Afrika space within home.

wheres the 12 gage shotgun

oh this is going to be beautiful but very sucky game.
cant believe this is a game that got me so pumped over the ps3 because how now it looks.

Hopefully there's some sort of zombie breakout or killer pride of lions in there, 'cause if it's just about driving around and taking pictures of CGI animals, I can't see me playin' it!

That's awesome. Like a next-gen real animal PokeMon Snap... Although deep down I was waiting for the music to just cut out and someone to pull out a gun... Would have been quite the statement.

Remember almost 2 years ago when Afrika was announced at E3 06, I mean what the hell is it supposed to be? Is it a hunting game (not likely), is it a photography game (possible from TGS 07 trailer), a nature reserve sim similar to Zoo Tycoon or a wildlife sim like EA's Spore (hopefully, one, the other or both)? Sony hasn't really brought out any real facts about the game, only that it'll be set in Africa and it'll have wildlife of the Savanah. What do you think it'll be?

It look like some kinda photograph game. U take pics of the animals. I think its prob like adventure game sort of. I dont think it involve killing animals or anything like that. U prob dont want that.lol The trailer look good non of the less. I cant wait to find out more infos on that.

I'm thinking Pokemon Snap, not on rails mixed with roleplaying elements like upgrades/new equipment to make life easier (quicker travel with better vehicles, GPS) and get better photos (moveable arm platforms fixed to vehicle), allow you to take nocturnal shots (vehicle lights, nightvision etc). Doesn't look like the sort of game to have any violence but if you were also a park ranger you could scare off poachers by 'shooting' their faces. Otherwise face off with them Ryu Hazuki-style and get home by 11 otherwise you won't get your pocket money and a clip round the ear.
