I love to watch movies and my Samsung 32" is not enough to my Panny BD60, so I want to update. Also, I tested my BD60 on the Panny P42S1 Plasma and nothing awesome (talking about motion). This is why I am specifying the "24p" option. EDIT: BTW, your TV is 480hz, right? This is why your TV has the 24p option? If it was 600hz, does it still have the 24p? Be very carefull when asking questions such as this. Almost all of the replies you will get will be from Pioneer Kuro Plasma owners and according to them if you do not have a Kuro Plasma then your TV is inadequate. All of these HD TV'S have pro's and con's but the bottom line is what looks good to you and what can you afford. The technology of plasma's and LCD's and LED's etc. are different but you will not notice the 120hz or 240hz on anything other than an LCD OR LED. Pioneer Kuro's are great but not the best because my son has one that cost him 5,000.00 dollars and he has had more problems than he should have for the money he paid for it.

![]() There's always going to be a lemon in anything built by man, but one personal bad experience does not negate the fact that Kuros are the best display one can buy. For the OP: Why spend >$1K on a 37" LCD when you can get a Pany 42" G10/S10 for less? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but it's you $$. |

Plasmas shouldn't have any problems handling 24p. From my understanding, the issue exists only with 60 Hz LCD TV's. |

Speaking of plasma, this looks like a hell of a deal at Best Buy:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Panasoni...rd119300050000 $1100 for a Panasonic 50 inch plasma + Panasonic Blu-ray player. |

Sorry If I repeat this all the time but, I really care about 24p because when I plugged my BD60 in a Panasonic 42"S1 Plasma, It looked as I were watching my 32" LCD 60hz. (talking about Motion). |

You thinking about jumping on it? The customer reviews for that TV are really strong, nearly a 5 out of 5 with 60 something reviews. If I wasn't looking for a 32 inch TV + Blu package, I would jump on this deal. My 46 inch TV in the living room is good to go but I'm wanting something for the bedroom.

For example, compare the Samsung I saw here: Samsung LN37B650 37-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD Amazon.com: $1,034usd ($13,442 pesos) BestBuy Mexico: $1,230usd ($16,000 pesos) There is always a difference. |

Amazon doesn't charge that for out of the country shipments? I know they have free shipping in the U.S. for anything over $25.

It would be great if BestBuy Mexico had the same promotions like the one you told me about. |

120Hz was developed for LCDs in an attempt to help deal with motion blur caused by the inherently slow response time of LCD technology. Plasma do not need anything like that, as there are no motion problems with plasma technology. There is no "catching up". If anything, LCD is continually chasing after the quality level of a plasma picture. |

For true 24p, you'll need to step up to the V10 series, and 50" is the smallest. These sets use a 96Hz 4:4 mode for 24p. The G10 and S1 series are 60Hz with 3:2 pulldown for 24p.

No doubt both technologies have their advantages and weaknesses but like I said I'm merely asking if any of the plasma's offer the interpolation features. I'm not asking if you like them or not. |
