Top Three:

1) Big Trouble in Little China
2) The Goonies
3) Ghostbusters

If you have never seen #1, I totally recommend it, super fun and super hilarious.. not too serious and not too light.

I was trying to remember the name of this, I was looking on imdb for ages, sign me up for a remastered version of that definitely.
As for Leon (The Professional) I watched that at least once a week for around three years solid, absolutely loved it.
I used to watch Bram Stokers Dracula at least once a week too but that's already out.

Lol.. some good movies in this thread.

1. Leon the Professional - favorite movie ever
2. Labyrinth
3. Legend (the remastered DVD actually looks quite amazing! - I can only imagine the BD!)

I just bought Big Trouble in Little China and The Last Dragon on DVD to replace VSH as I assumed these will not be on Bluray in a long time. But hey, still the sooner the better!

3. Revenge of the Ninja (and 80's Ninja flick throw back that's more of a confession than it is a legitimate pick)

I also have Donnie Darko in my sig line; a more legitimate hope for a Blu-ray appearance. Name some good ones we may have forgotten...
Oh My GOD! I used to watch Revenge of The Ninja over and over again when I was a kid...like "Gee, I should get Revenge of the Ninja" Again!

Wow I scanned through the three pages and couldn't believe I didnt see Goonies awesome man, I would add Back to the Future on the list as well. Big Trouble wouldnt be a great Blu ray but I will admit its a classic, Chinese Girl with Green eyes, I think this movie is where Mortal Kombat stole Shang Shung from, it always made me think of that.

Goonies is a must, Goonies never die.

Mine would be the following:
Tron
Halloween series
The Lost Boys
Near Dark
The Goonies
The Ghostbusters
Beetlejuice
John Cusack 80's movies
John Hughes 80's movies
High Fidelity: "That is a Cosby swetah, my friend a Cosby swetah!"
Gung Ho
and more I can't think of at the moment.

Just remebered one more: SuperTroopers. That movie is hilarious!

Right on man -- me too. VHS rental of the year for me! Well that makes two of us - a far cry from what we need to ever see it in high def, but it sure is fun rememberin' the times and thinkin' about it...

Default Monster Squad

Don't know if anyone saw that The Monster Squad 20th Anniversary came out last week on DVD this movie is awesome. Would be "Ok" on Blu ray but thought I should mention it if anyone has been waiting

I've been waiting for the release for years and it came out on the 24th without any press or anything. Just saw it today when I was thinking about cult classics.

i'm going with Nosferatu and Haxan, because i'm fairly certain they could fit on a 50 (maybe even 25) losslessly.

other than that:
IZO
Ran
Kagemusha
Battle Royale
Fearless
Alexander
Natural Born Killers
Hana-Bi
Takeshis'
Fulltime Killer
Shaolin Temple (badly needs a remaster)
